It was simply inexplicable for Henry to see himself smiling at a woman who was talking to him in that tone. He was the kind of person who would never allow anyone to disrespect him, and yet, why were his memories completely different?
He heard his past self say while pressing the woman on her shoulders, "Alright. Don't be so angry with me, okay?" He took out a small box that he was carrying in his pocket and handed it to the woman in front of him. "Here. I bought it from the shop that you told me about; it's not expensive at all."
If it was surprising to hear his past self smiling at the woman who had spoken to him quite arrogantly, Henry simply had no idea how to explain what he was feeling at the moment when he saw himself pleading with the woman. And that too in such a beseeching manner.
Was it truly him?
He didn't want to believe it, but the more he looked at the scene in front of him, the more he felt that it was too familiar.
