Chapter 193 - [193] Which World Is This?

The blue curtains blocked the morning hustle and bustle outside. A bit of sunlight seeped through the gaps, casting dazzling specks of light on the wooden floor.

The laptop on the desk remained open. The desk lamp stood still like a sculpture, and in the corner near the window sat a floor-to-ceiling bookshelf filled with various books and miscellaneous items.

This was an ordinary three-tatami-mat-sized room.

On the somewhat messy single bed, the room's owner was sound asleep. The white down quilt rose and fell rhythmically, accompanied by the faint sound of long, steady breathing.

At a certain moment—

The person sleeping on the bed suddenly sat up as if waking from a nightmare.

He had an elegant and handsome appearance, almost perfectly crafted, as if favored by the heavens. A beauty that could be called otherworldly. His 46-point charm would remain undeniable in any world.

His black hair was a tangled mess from tossing and turning. His pajamas were wrinkled, and the early spring chill slipped in through his skewed collar, but such trivial matters were far from his concern at the moment.

His dark pupils widened, brows furrowed, and his face carried an expression of utter disbelief.

Yet, all that lay before him was a stark white wall.

"…So this is what happens when two traversable worlds appear at the same time?"

He remained silent for a long while before finally regaining his senses. Then, he fiercely scratched his head and let out a groan of frustration.

"This is way too sudden… Couldn't someone have given me a heads-up?"

This was not the Rakudai world.

This was the Type-Moon world.

When he returned to the Rakudai world from the Danmachi World—more precisely, the moment he stepped through the black gate, his consciousness split in two. One part returned to the Rakudai world, while the other arrived in this Type-Moon world.

He had lived in this world for 15 years, and only last night did he finally experience True Spirit Awakening, synchronizing memories with his self in the Rakudai world and recalling everything he had been through before.

This cheat system is way too dumb!

He genuinely thought he had woken up in the Type-Moon world by accident and had spent a long time freaking out about it. After all, everyone knew this world was notorious for gas explosions, skin-wearing demons, and all kinds of lethal dangers.

Turns out I just got split into another world?

Oh. That's fine, then.

After spending 15 years in a haze, his awakened true spirit finally allowed him to understand everything. Instantly, he calmed down.

The second method of crossing through the black gate involved splitting off a portion of Eiji's soul and reincarnating it into another world.

This process only occurred when the black gate linked to multiple traversable worlds, and Eiji himself had no control over it.

Of course, there were advantages and disadvantages.

First off, the two versions of himself shared a single consciousness—essentially, a multi-threaded operation—but had been in a dormant state of ignorance until now.

Moreover, he could merge back into one whenever he wanted. But since he was already here in such a major world, it would be a waste to return empty-handed. He might as well take advantage of the situation.

Additionally, he had essentially gained an extra life. No matter which version of him died, the other would continue living—essentially a built-in resurrection feature.

However, only his Rakudai world self had the ability to traverse worlds. This Eiji, in the Type-Moon world, had no black gate and couldn't travel between worlds—unless his Rakudai world self died, in which case the ability would transfer over.

Another major benefit—he had double the training time now. Given that he had only been training for less than a year, this was a huge advantage.

But the biggest benefit was—

BANG!

Eiji jumped out of bed and walked onto the balcony.

Bathed in the morning sunlight, he felt an uncontrollable surge of energy and impulsively punched the railing.

With a "DUANG", the stainless steel railing caved in under his fist. The entire structure vibrated, and a deep fist imprint appeared on its surface.

Eiji quickly bent the railing back into shape.

Like squeezing a soda can, he smoothed out the dent as much as possible.

His strength had carried over.

"Hell yeah!"

He pumped his fist in the air and let out a cheer.

Even though this was a clone traversal, his power was identical to his original body. The Level 4 strength he had honed in the Danmachi world had fully transferred over. He hadn't been turned into a frail pretty boy.

In this godforsaken world, at least now he had some ability to protect himself.

This made it far easier for him to participate in events like the Holy Grail War. If he had to do it as a normal human, he wouldn't even know what the word "survival" meant.

"…But, now that I think about it, this world is really strange…"

Eiji suddenly snapped back to reality. Something dawned on him, and his expression turned increasingly odd.

To be honest—

He had lived in this world for 15 years, yet he still had no idea which Type-Moon timeline he was in, because this world was just too weird!

"Ali, are you awake?"

A soft, gentle female voice called from downstairs.

"I'm awake, Mom!"

"Then come down for breakfast. Your sister is waiting for you."

"Coming!"

Eiji answered and went back inside to change clothes.

He had genuinely lived in this world for 15 years, no illusions or tricks involved, and he would probably continue to live here, aging and dying as normal.

Thanks to the clone traversal, he finally had a real mother in this life… Well, whether she was biologically his mother was still debatable.

Huh?

His father?

I am Eiji.

In this Type-Moon world, I have a mother and a sister—but I have never seen my father.

Ever since I was born, he simply didn't exist in this family.

Eiji's home in the Type-Moon World was a two-story house.

The house was located in a spacious residential area, surrounded by modern buildings with almost no traditional Japanese influence left.

A wall enclosed the property, with a small garden in the yard where lush vegetables were growing. Clothes were hanging out to dry on a laundry pole.

From his second-floor balcony, Eiji could see a peaceful town.

This was not Fuyuki City.

Nor was it Misaki Town or Mifune City.

It was still somewhere in Japan, but there was no sign of Type-Moon's usual chaos—no looming shadows, monstrous creatures, or world-ending threats.

Was this the Fate timeline or the Tsukihime timeline?

He had no clue.

But this town radiated an undeniable strangeness.

A town called—Kinoko Town.

Eiji put on his new school uniform, looking full of energy. He admired his reflection in the mirror for a moment.

Yep, no matter where I go—I'm still the most handsome guy around.

"Being invincible is so, so lonely~"

After fixing his hair, he headed downstairs into the living room.

A woman—presumably his mother—walked out of the kitchen.

Her long, deep purple hair cascaded to her ankles, tied at the end with a ribbon.
