CHAPTER SIX
TRAINING ROOM (SWORD PRACTICE CLASS)
"Please stop. You win"
Liv falls to the floor, panting. A wooden sword rests beside her, a calm and discipline looking girl with a green braid stands above her holding a wooden sword.
"Don't tell me you are already out of stamina? You can't be weak forever."
"I'm not weak, you're just a better swordsman than I am...probably the best in the class."
The green haired girl stretches her arm towards Liv, she grabs it and is pulled up by the green haired girl.
"You are just full of excuses, Liv". The green haired girl says right after she nods her head.
A woman with gold locks wearing a tracksuit, stands in front of both girls. "This one goes to Vanessa Queen."
Then Vanessa and Liv go and seat on the floor a few feet away from the sparing area where their other peers were sitting.
"As long as you are weaker than me, you are weak. Get that in your head."
"You are so modest and strong, I wish I were like you."
"You're wrong. I'm not strong, not till I'm able to kill that man."
"Him again? He is unimportant, just forget about him."
Then the both of them sit down on the floor.
"You should really take your mind off him."
Instead of a response Liv hears a Snore, so she turns to Vanessa and notices that Vanessa was already fast asleep.
"I wish you would stop this."
Then Liv turns to Jack who was next to her and holds his arm.
"Please, may you let go of my arm."
"Don't you have a heart? I just lost."
Jack sighs in frustration and decides to stop ignoring Liv.
"I have just not been touched by a girl like this before, so it feels uncomfortable."
"So you're shy."
"No I am not shy, a being of my caliber can not feel such emotion."
"I really did not expect you to be the shy type."
"Shh... the teacher wants to announce the next set of people.
The Teacher announces.
"Next is Edward and Jack. "
Edward stands up from where the other students were and walks to the sparing area, so does Jack.
"So it's you again."
"I'm so happy I get to beat you up for not minding you again."
Jack glares at Edward with a deviously conceited smile, and sits down.
"You do not have the skills to even touch me, so I will give you a handicap."
Edward looks at Jack, his face red with anger, Everything in his being, telling him to kill Jack.
"Cocky bitch!"
The Teacher looks at Jack as he is sitting on the floor.
"Are you sure you want to sit and fight, is that not dangerous?"
"Do not worry. I may not look it, but I am actually a top-notch fighter."
The Teacher nods at how overconfident Jack was, then she announces.
"Okay then. Begin!"
Edward rushes towards Jack to strike him on the head, but Jack tilts his head and launches the tip of his blade at Edward but, Edward uses his blade to stop Jack's attack. But, Jack propelled it further and shatters Edward's blade.
"Got you."
"What are you talking about?"
"Don't try to sugar-coat thi..."
Jack is surprised to find himself still trying to break Edward's sword. He thinks to himself 'what just happened'.
"Don't start going places during out fight." Edward says As he blitzes Jack and tries to attack him from his back.
Jack turns to counter the attack, but he is hit on the back. So Jack turns back and looks Edward in the eye
"So you are using your awakened ability."
Edward jumps a few feet backwards.
"What makes you say that?"
Jack places his hand on his face and smiles confidential.
"It's because you were able to land an attack on me, idiot."
Edward looks at Jack in disgust and rage, his whole essence wanting to kill Jack. He then launches himself at Jack.
"YOU, I'LL KILL YOU!!!"
Jack readies himself and rushes to strike Edward, but then, he stops and strikes at Edward who was suddenly behind him.
"So you can create illusions."
Then Edward suddenly blitzes and so, Jack jumps up and stomps Edward's back with a mighty force that shatters the floor and leaves Edward in a state of shock.
Jack steps down from Edward's back and mutters. "At your level you don't even pass as a warm-up for me."
Then the Teacher announces. "The winner is Jack."
Jack walks away from Edward, but then Edward stands up, with his broken sword.
"I can never accept defeat to the likes of you."
He launches at Jack only to be propelled backwards and knocked out by a hit from a tall, buff guy with a shaved head.
Jack is shocked at the tremendous display of speed that the shaved head had just displayed, so he turns back and to the person who knocked Edward out.
INSIDE A GOVERNMENT BUILDING - EXACT LOCATION UNKNOWN
A black little girl with white hair, wearing a black puff black jacket, sits on a chair licking a lollipop, watches as Manny, who was wearing a black hoodie, with a katana, duel out with a gray haired guy wearing a Deep Blue shirt, white trousers and a white blazer with three golden star shaped buttons.
"He can't win." A bruised up man laying on the floor says to the little girl. "Lord Tyler will never lose to a low life like him."
The little girl takes out her lollipop from her mouth and smirks.
"Never say... never, dumbass."
OUTSIDE THE BUILDING
Manny stands face to face with a grey haired boy - Tyler, who looked like he was in his early twenties. His body full of cut marks and covered in blood.
"At your level, how could you possibly think you could beat me. You are not even worthy of my time."
Then Manny sheathes his blade. "Don't count me out yet, I still have my trump card."
