The vampires in the basement were either killed by Peter or nailed to the wall. Now the basement is safe.
Following Peter's steps, Jason arrived at this vast underground space. It was Jason's turn to be shocked by what Peter had seen before.
Neat rows of glass chambers stood in the basement. The people locked in the glass chambers had dull eyes, but no one was dead.
They become tools for vampires to extract blood.
"Oh my God!" Jason couldn't help but cover half of his face with his hands, looking at what was happening in front of him with some disbelief.
"What's going on with these people?" Jason quickly came to a glass warehouse and observed the situation of the people inside.
"Damn it! How do I stop this damn thing!" Jason tried to stop the drainage tube from drawing blood from the tree man in the glass chamber, but he didn't know how to stop it.
"This place is highly automated. I think there should be a central control computer to control the operation of all equipment." Peter came to Jason and said.
"Okay~ Let's find the central control computer first. Peter, do you know what's going on with these people?" Jason and Peter began to search in the basement.
"Their situation seems a bit like what was described in a book I read before." Peter said, recalling some of the knowledge he had learned.
"It's like a frontal lobotomy, which was a surgery to treat mental illness. After the frontal lobe was removed, people would become like this."
"They can't speak, they can't think, they've become a living dead. The only difference is that they can breathe." When he said this , Peter's face couldn't help twitching.
"This is a very inhumane operation and was banned in the late 1970s," Peter said finally. At this time, they found a place that looked like an office, which contained the central control computer responsible for managing the operation of the equipment.
"From what you said, it seems that the vampires are planning to keep these humans in captivity for a long time, and then draw blood from them regularly to provide a long-term and stable blood source." Jason has already understood the vampire's intention.
"It seems that they treat humans as wheat in a plantation, ready to harvest them forever." Jason's tone also became very cold.
He could now understand Peter's previous anger, which made the originally kind-hearted Peter so furious and attack these vampires like a madman.
"Okay, I'll stop these devices from drawing blood now." Peter quickly tapped the keyboard on the central control computer and stopped the operation of the equipment.
"Jason, what are you going to do?" Peter asked. "How do we deal with these people?"
"Let's just call me Night Walker while we're hiding our identities." Jason said as he put his hood back on.
"And I will continue to call you Spider-Man. None of us want our loved ones to be in danger because of us."
"You're right, man." Peter put on his spider mask. "What about these people? Should we let Frank handle it?"
"No~ Spider-Man." Jason shook his head firmly after hearing Peter's question. "The relationship behind Frank must be related to the government."
"Remember the warehouse incident last time? Thousands of people were detained in a warehouse, and the TV stations and the Internet did nothing about such a big incident."
"This shows that someone is deliberately concealing the truth of the incident. Look at what these vampires are doing now. Their attacks on humans are far from being just occasional low-probability events that we imagined."
"It seems that the so-called armistice agreement only restricts the human government itself, and the vampires are still doing what they are supposed to do, but their methods have become more obscure."
"We don't know how many more blood farms there are in New York, let alone in the United States or even the world."
"But I know that many innocent people must have been killed, just like these people, living a life worse than death and becoming tools for vampires to make blood."
"We can't rely on the organization Frank contacted. Peter called the TV station directly." Jason stated his final decision.
"What? Are you kidding, man? You want the TV station to directly intervene and report this matter?" Peter looked at Jason in some astonishment.
"Yes, the politicians and officials have their own bodyguards and a truce agreement, so the vampires won't attack them. These people are high and mighty and don't care about the lives of ordinary people."
"And they will make some sacrifices they think are necessary for the so-called overall situation, such as the lives of ordinary people. Anyway, it's not themselves who are being sacrificed, so they don't care." Jason's tone was cold and firm.
"Since they like to cover up the truth and whitewash the situation, let us uncover the darkest and ugliest side of this world. The public has the right to know what they are facing, and humanity must be prepared."
"Vampires will not let civilians go just because of their ignorance and kindness. Let more people know the truth and let everyone unite!" There was a raging fire burning in Jason's eyes.
"Lions and zebras will never live in peace. Since war is bound to break out, let us give the first warning so that everyone can be prepared!"
"Well said, brother! I think we should do this! The vampire incident must be exposed, and we can't let those shameless officials cover up the truth." Peter patted Jason on the shoulder, agreeing very much with what Jason said.
"Then use the phone in this villa to contact the TV station and tell them there is big news here." Jason said to Peter and took out his mobile phone from his combat belt.
"What are you going to do?" Peter asked.
"Record the situation here. If the TV station doesn't report it, I'll post it directly on the Internet." Jason said as he turned on the recording function on his mobile phone.
While Peter was using the villa's phone to notify the TV station, Jason was using his cell phone to record a video of the underground factory.
The original owner of the villa, Lanka, had already fled. Lanka, who was wearing a full set of combat equipment made by the Hammer Arms Company, was ready to help.
But his men were defeated too quickly. Lanka was a man who could judge the situation and was able to live for so many years and even survive the last war between humans and ghosts.
He knew very well that he should retreat when it was time to do so. The enemy seemed to be much stronger than his own side. It would be foolish to confront them head-on at this time.
At most he would lose this villa and factory, but as long as he was alive, all the money and power could be gathered again.
"Night Walker! You're dead!" Lanka looked back at his villa and said viciously. He was ready, and next time he would gather enough people to strangle Night Walker.
But he didn't know that this time the Night Walker was planning to poke a hole in the sky.
