Lying on the pillow with nothing better to do, Jihoon's unfocused gaze remained fixed on the ceiling above. His mind wandered back to the time when he had been the one tending to the older man during his bout of illness. It felt like just yesterday.
He would have never imagined growing close to his next door neighbour…not with how their first encounter went.
And there was no denying that Ryul had always looked intimidating–like someone who was hard to approach, with an impenetrable barrier surrounding him.
Turns out, that wasn't the case at all.
It could be said that Jihoon was the more closed-off one between the two. He was terrible at socialising and struggled to share his honest thoughts with anyone. But despite those shortcomings, he had always tried his best to improve himself… but whether it worked was another story.
