In the endless ocean, there existed a region perpetually shrouded in thunder and lightning—a hundred-mile radius devoid of any marine life.

No sound could be heard here, save for the ceaseless roar of thunder and the crackle of lightning.

No one knew just how vast this thunderstorm-covered territory was. Thus, it was known as the Extreme Sea Thunder Domain.

At the heart of this domain, where the lightning was most concentrated, a massive deep-blue dome hovered above the sea's surface.

Peering through the translucent barrier, one could see an enormous blue castle standing tall within—hence its name, Thunder City.

The castle was shaped like a pyramid, its central tower soaring over fifty meters high, with layers gradually descending on either side.

At the entrance, facing the open plaza, stood a towering blue-and-gold statue nearly twenty meters tall.

The statue depicted a figure clad in armor, with medium-length hair, gripping a long spear pressed against his back—its tip angled diagonally downward.

The sculpture was so lifelike it exuded an awe-inspiring majesty, as if demanding reverence from all who beheld it.

Yet despite its grandeur, Thunder City was eerily devoid of life, its silence undisturbed—

Until a pillar of divine lightning descended from the heavens, piercing through the dome and crashing into the castle's rear garden.

The thunderous impact shattered the stillness.

The lightning struck a deep-blue pool at the garden's center. When the light faded, a faint silhouette lay motionless within the water.

Slowly, the tranquil pool began to stir. Glowing veins of lightning snaked across its surface, converging toward the floating figure.

"He has finally arrived."

On the throne in Thunder City's main hall, a blue-robed figure slowly opened his eyes.

His deep-blue hair cascaded neatly behind him, his face stern yet dignified—bearing an uncanny resemblance to the statue outside.

With a flicker of lightning, he appeared beside the pool, gazing at its submerged occupant before taking a seat nearby.

Time flowed unnoticed.

In Thunder City, where seasons held no meaning, the silhouette in the pool gradually solidified—revealing a blue-haired man, naked and unconscious.

"After all this time reconstructing his body in the Thunder Liquid, he should awaken soon."

The middle-aged man summoned a blue-green spear, its surface crackling with energy.

"Old friend, go. Your new master awaits. He will wield you in battles to come."

The spear emitted a resonant hum, as if in reply, before transforming into a streak of light and merging into the man's body.

More time passed.

Then—

"A Yin... Dong'er!"

"No! A Yin—!"

The man's murmurs grew louder until his eyes snapped open, blazing with fury.

Splash!

He burst from the pool's surface, only to freeze in confusion at his surroundings.

"Where... am I?"

Above him, beyond the dome, lightning raged endlessly.

"You're awake, young one."

A calm voice spoke from behind.

Lin Yongming jerked around—his Mind's Eye, which should have detected any presence, failed him completely.

"What?! I can't sense anything—no fluctuations, no Mind's Eye... It's like before I awakened my martial soul!"

Yet his body thrummed with unfathomable power.

He closed his eyes, probing inward. His Mind's Eye and Wave Perception were gone, but lightning energy surged within him—alongside the spear now fused to his being.

"The Tome of Fluctuations!"

He focused on his consciousness, relieved to find the mystical book still floating in his mental sea—though dormant, its glow extinguished.

"As long as it's here, I can reconnect with the Wave Energy."

But first—

"Where are A Yin and Dong'er?!"

Snapping his eyes open, he turned to the pavilion, where the middle-aged man sat, watching him with an air of tranquility.

Lin Yongming stepped forward, water dripping from his body.

"Are you... the Thunder God's remnant will?"

The man before him resembled the Thunder God's spectral projection—except he seemed flesh and blood.

"Where is this place? How long was I unconscious?" Lin Yongming demanded, urgency sharpening his tone.

"Young friend, I understand your haste," the man chuckled, "but even heroes need clothes."

He tossed Lin Yongming a long robe, which the latter swiftly donned. (His storage soul tool, along with everything else, was gone.)

Once dressed, Lin Yongming faced him again. "Now. Explain."

"This," the man gestured around them, "is the Extreme Sea Thunder Domain."

"The ocean?!" Lin Yongming's head whipped upward. "How did I get here?!"

"Patience. Sit. Drink." The man poured tea, unfazed.

Though every fiber of Lin Yongming screamed to find his loved ones, he forced himself to comply.

"I am the Thunder God," the man stated.

"What? Your remnant said you were dead!"

"And he was right. I perished long ago. What you see is my main divine consciousness—call me Thunder God if you wish." He smiled, as if death were a trivial matter.

"Fine. Then how do I leave?" Lin Yongming's fists clenched.

"The Thunder God's Core you possessed contained a teleportation array—activated when your lightning energy reached its threshold. It brought you here, to Thunder God's Palace."

"Years ago."

Lin Yongming shot to his feet, tea spilling.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY? YEARS?!"
