"Thank you for your patience and support, Isolde. I have to see the king now." Genevieve said, standing up from the chair.
"Alright, be careful. I still want to go through some books." Isolde replied, and Genevieve left the library. She headed to Edric's chamber and wondered if he knew about the curse and was hiding it from her. Why would he even hide something like that from her? The Guards made way for her as she entered.
Edric was going through some history books and immediately looked up at the worried Genevieve. He closed the books and opened his arms to receive her in a warm embrace, but she walked past him and fixed her gaze on him.
"Is there anything wrong? Genevieve, you look tense." He said, his voice concerned.
"What is wrong? What have you been hiding from me?" She asked him, her voice laced with hurt.
A hint of surprise appeared on his face. "What do you mean? "
