CH - 27 - RILEY'S IDEA
Riley tried to ignite the lighter multiple times, but it wasn't working, then she tried to rub it from both sides, and apparently moisture had stuck up onto the mouth of the lighter, preventing it from igniting.
She brought the lighter near a paper wrapper, trying to ignite it, but it had the same problem, a layer of moisture had frozen over it, she tried to rub it also but it wasn't working.
Thankfully after multiple times, it worked, the paper wrapper burned fast, giving just enough time for the fire to spread onto other wrappers and cardboards.
Though there was lots of smoke coming from them, but Riley could see a small ember of fire within it.
She then removed the shoes and socks of Vin and started rubbing his feet and hands one by one, but his condition wasn't good.
And others were at their limit too. It was feeling as if this is their last struggle, but none were ready to accept it.
