"Protect my young, and I promise you unfathomable powers." Olivia groaned as the voice echoed in her head. Her eyes widened when she realized that it was the monster.
"Why do you trust me with that task… I hate monsters," she thought in her head.
"Because only you can keep it safe. Say yes, and I'll pass all my powers to you."
"I can take your core after you die."
"Not if you die first. The power of my core is just one-tenth of my power. I'm different from the normal monsters."
"How so?"
"Say yes. And you will know. I don't have time." The monster's voice became urgent.
Olivia thought to herself. She doesn't have anything to lose if she said yes. "Yes."
The monster laid on her body. To the watchers, it looked like it was devouring her. "I'll hide it in your sea of consciousness."
"How do you know about that?"
The monster didn't reply. Olivia felt a cold surge of energy through her body and mind. She felt her strength coming back stronger.
