"Why did you create the realm if you always planned to destroy it like this?" Alexis asked, her voice calm but firm.
Lilith tilted her head, a small, wry smile tugging at her lips.
"Well, I didn't plan on destroying it this way," she replied. "If I'd known my own granddaughter would be the one to strike me in the back, maybe I wouldn't have created anything at all."
Alexis let out a quiet, bitter laugh, and Lilith—understanding the irony, joined in with a soft chuckle of her own.
"Okay... maybe I'm lying," Lilith admitted, cutting the laughter short, her expression darkening with a heavy sigh.
"I always wanted something different. Something that stood apart from the other realms." Her voice lowered, more reflective now. "You know I came from the Bloodbind Circle. It's no secret they only crown one queen, just one."
