"Mister Cross, stay back!"
Scarlet screamed to Timothy to move, but it was already too late. The monster's claws brushed the air just inches from his nose, not aiming to scratch, but something with a sense of dread. To experience it more what it's like to have fun playing with weaklings.
Timothy's body slammed into the rubbles of stone, grazing his arm. But he stood back up and held his sword straight. He was in pain, and his heart throbbed with fear too... but was staying back an option either?
Scarlet patted Sam's arm back, whispered, "Don't come close," and she stepped towards the monster. It turned as her as well, undoubtedly interested if she would be a worthy opponent.
In a moment, Scarlet swiftly removed her violin pouch as she walked and took out her pistol. She didn't rush, didn't rush to attack nor rush to place down her pouch. But took her time doing it. And this arrogant reaction, this nonchalance, got the monster even more intrigued.
