Chapter 80 - chapter 80

Nurmengard.

In Grindelwald's luxurious office.

Vita placed a book on Grindelwald's desk.

Grindelwald set down the documents in his hand and moved the book in front of him.

When he opened the book, he found there was no content in it. Except for a small page number in the lower right corner, all the pages were blank.

However, Grindelwald did not find this strange. Instead, he turned the blank book to a fixed page and waited patiently.

He glanced at the big clock on the office wall and said, "It's time."

Just as he said this, new words began to slowly appear on the blank page.

A smile crept onto Grindelwald's face.

"Good girl, very punctual!"

Upon hearing this, Vita's mouth curled up slightly.

The writing on the page had completely appeared.

"I have successfully approached Wade and Tom and become their friend. Additionally, I have obtained the notebook."

Seeing these words, Grindelwald was visibly pleased.

He raised his hand slightly, and a feather pen beside him floated to the page, quickly starting to write.

"Very good! You did a great job! You are truly worthy of being a Rosier child! Now, have you read the notebook? What is written in it?"

As soon as the ink touched the page, it was absorbed and disappeared.

Grindelwald leaned back in his chair, resting his chin on his hand, watching the blank page expectantly.

After a moment, more words appeared.

"I've already checked it. There's nothing in the notebook except for a lot of locations, most of which are around Hogwarts, and many of them are in the Forbidden Forest..."

Grindelwald frowned. "Locations... Could it be that what those people said is true?"

The words continued to appear.

"I used the invisibility cloak last night to explore the three locations closest to Hogwarts. They are all ruins of some kind of building. I can't tell what kind of buildings they were. But the abandoned buildings at these three locations are very old..."

A trace of disappointment flashed across Grindelwald's face. "Nothing... just ruins?"

More writing appeared. "I will continue exploring other locations. Once I find anything, I will contact you as soon as possible."

Grindelwald's quill quickly wrote, "Alright, stay safe... By the way, have you found anything interesting about Wade and Tom?"

There was a brief pause before more words appeared.

"Speaking of that, I did make a discovery. It's about Wade. He seems to be from a pure-blood wizard family named Li in the East, but he is very secretive about his past."

"He revealed this information after being insulted for being a Muggle-born."

"Given his special temperament, I think the possibility of this being true is high, but there is no definite evidence yet."

Reading this, Grindelwald nodded knowingly.

He had suspected Robert's origins.

An eleven-year-old wizard, before even entering school, had already dealt with many of his elite followers, even knocking down several.

How could he do that without some background or experience?

The writing on the page continued:

"Also, on the night I got the notebook, I saw them sneaking into the library. I had just received the notebook and didn't dare to follow them in."

Grindelwald frowned. "The library? Are they also going to the restricted section to retrieve the notebook? What a pity! It would've been great if Annie could've followed them in."

Vita asked in confusion, "Those two kids know about the notebook?"

"Well... Actually, this notebook is very closely related to those two children. I can feel that one of them is linked to it!" Grindelwald stood up, impatience showing on his face. "I believe it is more likely to be Wade, but... it's hard to say with this kind of thing."

Grindelwald stood by the window, looking out at the snow-capped mountains, speaking softly, "We need to find out as soon as possible. Time is very tight..."

Although Vita was full of doubts, she didn't press for answers since Grindelwald was being cryptic.

The Next Morning

"Annie, you don't look like you've had enough rest?"

In the common room, Robert and Tom were getting ready for class when they saw Annie.

"Well... maybe it was the invigorating potion I had yesterday. I may have drunk too much and couldn't sleep," Annie said somewhat awkwardly.

Robert and Tom exchanged glances, both knowing the real reason for her "insomnia."

Tom smirked. "Robert still has some life and death water. If you need it, you can grab a bottle. Each bottle costs three gold galleons. But be careful with the dosage. Too much, and you won't wake up."

"Huh? Aren't you usually not interested in Robert's potions? Why the sudden push to sell them today?" Annie asked, surprised.

Tom responded seriously, "I found out last night that the money he used to buy the ingredients was mine, so... I get a share of his potions. It's all about maximizing profits!"

Robert smiled. "No need to get so angry, Tom. Your money just sits there in Gringotts. It's better to let me make it work for us."

"They're just fine in Gringotts," Tom grumbled. "But I'm bothered that you're using my money without telling me!"

Annie laughed, "I don't need the life and death water right now."

She was still planning to explore those places at night, so there was no way she could rest after taking it.

"But... your relationship is stronger than I thought. Robert can actually open your vault and use your money at will?" Annie's eyes became curious.

"Hehe, I think you misunderstood. He just deposited the money with me temporarily. The vault in Gringotts isn't cheap, and it's more cost-effective if we just open one," Robert explained.

"Really?" Annie eyed them suspiciously.

"Yes, it's simple, pure friendship," Robert said seriously.

Before she could respond, a loud argument interrupted them.

Abraxas Malfoy stood arrogantly in the corner, his voice cutting through the room.

"You filthy fool, how dare you talk back to me?"

A chubby black-haired boy stood opposite, glaring at him.

Robert recognized him. Charlie Prince—another freshman who had performed well in Potions class.

"Come on! Even if you're not a fool, 'dirty' fits you well. After all, your father is a Muggle!" Abraxas sneered.

"How dare you insult my father!?" Charlie retorted angrily.

"What? I'm just speaking the truth! With half Muggle blood, aren't you dirty?" Abraxas taunted.

Robert's eyes widened, and he exchanged a glance with Tom.

Tom could only suppress the bubbling anger rising in him.

Charlie, enraged, shot back, "You pure-bloods are the real dirty ones. You're nothing but inbred monsters. You have no right to call anyone else dirty!"

Robert couldn't help but admire the boy's courage, though he knew it was a dangerous move.

The pure-blood wizards gathered around Charlie, their cold gazes turning menacing.

"Boy! You'd better apologize!" one of them threatened.

"Apologize? I'm just speaking the truth!" Charlie sneered.

"Are you looking for death?" another pure-blood said.

Robert, knowing full well how dangerous this could get, placed a hand on Tom's shoulder.

"This guy's got guts. I like him!"

Tom raised an eyebrow. "He may not last the day in Slytherin."

The confrontation was escalating fast. Tom had dealt with these pure-bloods long enough to know that they had ways to make life unbearable.

"Should we help him?" Robert asked, glancing at Tom.

"Yes. Why not? We've already made enemies here, and what's the harm in making one more?" Tom smirked.

As they approached the scene, Annie's voice rang out, "If you keep arguing, that guy might really get beaten to death."

"Well, if that happens, I guess I'll have to step in." Robert shrugged.

Tom sighed, "What would I do without you?"
