"We dared, and the talks went smoothly."
Tohka found that her identity was surprisingly daring to use, especially after those people saw the resources in her hand and the strength of Miku Izayoi. They agreed in a flash.
After all, none of them were stupid—if they still couldn't get famous with this, then there was no justice.
"Uh… that fast?"
Well, Tohka, who didn't understand any of this, couldn't help much. So, she simply stayed silent the whole time and watched Miku Izayoi take the lead.
Of course, after everything was settled, Tohka was already in a half-asleep state. But after being woken up by Miku Izayoi, she rubbed her sleepy eyes. Looking around, she realized only the two of them were left in the room. As for those people, they had hurriedly left right after reaching an agreement.
"Alright, let's go eat," Tohka stood up and said to Miku Izayoi while rubbing her stomach.
"Are you a pig? Eat, sleep, sleep, eat."
Miku Izayoi looked at her speechlessly, not even wanting to say more. Tohka was full of flaws, and only when she put on her armor did she give off a sense of security. As for the rest of the time? Just forget it.
And so, the group spent a relatively peaceful period. Miku Izayoi also learned from Tohka how to ditch school for several days. She even dragged Tohka to record music with her.
Originally, she wanted Tohka to sing along too. But unfortunately, Tohka had zero talent in this area. After a few awkward hums and mumbles, they gave up.
Of course, not everything was quiet. Tony came to Tohka again, asking her for a recharge. But this time, the guy didn't recklessly try out new weapons on her. Last time's incident taught him a harsh lesson—he realized weapons powered by Tohka's energy were completely useless against her.
The difference in their energy levels was just too great. Unless he could create a stable energy source, which he couldn't even start on because he still didn't understand what Tohka's energy actually was.
That said, not everything was without incident. Once Miku Izayoi was ready, Tohka began to use the platform Tony provided to heavily promote her. So now the situation was—
"Tohka, you guys aren't serious, are you?"
At that moment, Spider-Man came to her.
"You do realize what her ability is, right? Are you sure this won't cause trouble?"
Looks like he became a bit sensitive after being controlled by Miku Izayoi once. Of course, it might not be just his opinion—Nick Fury probably sent him to confirm things.
"Yeah, what about it?" Tohka replied without hesitation.
They had already promoted it everywhere; it was impossible to hide. Besides, the test songs Miku Izayoi had released were well received. Even though Eastern and Western aesthetics differ greatly, for someone like her who embodied the War Goddess Diva, it wasn't a problem at all. So, there was no such thing as "can't do it."
"Well, uh… forget it. I'll let him tell you himself."
Seeing how confident Tohka was, Spider-Man didn't say much more. After all, he wasn't about to criticize her over this.
"Tohka, are you sure about holding such a big concert?" At that moment, Tohka's phone rang.
After answering, she heard Nick Fury's voice. Judging by his tone, the guy clearly had strong opinions about it.
"Yeah, what about it? You're the director of S.H.I.E.L.D.—don't tell me you have to manage even this?" Glancing at Spider-Man in front of her, Tohka responded with an annoyed tone.
"That's not it. But you have to understand what her ability is. This could easily trigger panic. Conservatively speaking, she could potentially control everyone in the audience."
That wasn't just Fury making things up. He had originally thought it was just a small event—at most, selling a few CDs. But he didn't expect them to go all out. Not only that, they even picked the Stark Industries exhibition hall as the venue, and the tickets were already sold out.
"Yeah, so what? The only ones who know the truth that night are you S.H.I.E.L.D. folks. The public knows nothing. As long as you don't say anything, nothing will happen. And didn't you already suppress the news? If anything leaks, that just means you've got a mole."
She wasn't making this up. Thank Graviton. Even though he caused a huge battle, it perfectly covered up Miku Izayoi's situation. While many people were dragged out that night, the appearance of that meteor gave many enough time to escape. So far, no one has seriously questioned how they got out alive. They just knew—they survived.
Of course, Hydra inside S.H.I.E.L.D. definitely knew. But unfortunately for them, they were still in hiding. They were in a "die if exposed" phase, so they couldn't leak this information. The previous Graviton incident already made Nick Fury suspicious. That's why they were desperately trying to bury the matter.
Otherwise, Crossbones wouldn't have backed down so easily—at the very least, he'd have stirred up something behind the scenes to drag Miku Izayoi over. Her power was simply too valuable to ignore.
"Fine. Just remember—I'll be assigning agents to monitor the entire thing. I don't want to see a repeat of what happened that night."
After hearing that Tohka wouldn't budge, Nick Fury was a bit frustrated. The best way to stop this event would've been to get Tony involved. One word from him and the whole plan would collapse. But Tony brushed him off with a casual "I'm busy."
No surprise—he was still using Tohka's energy to develop his weapons. He wasn't about to cause her trouble. As for Miku Izayoi, since Tohka already gave her approval, he didn't ask any further. After all, he wasn't Nick Fury, that hypersensitive guy.
So, Fury could only go to Tohka. But Tohka was completely uncooperative. That left him stuck—he couldn't control Tohka at will. In the end, all he could do was issue a verbal warning.
"Whatever." Tohka responded with just one sentence and hung up. The guy clearly came to cause trouble—she didn't feel like entertaining him.
