Lys still hadn't fully understood her own magic, and as she tucked herself into a corner, she continued to test her patience, releasing and weaving bit by bit. However, the edges of the magic continued to spark and trace the path of the magic.
This corner was a mess, corroded by Lys's magic. While organizing her things, Lys found her patience was extremely poor today, studying one thing for a while, then another, and her left hand kept activating the magic ring meant for alertness.
Looking out the window, she realized that the full moon was actually tomorrow, but her current state was really not good. Being unfocused was just a waste of time, so she decided to drink the potion today.
After casting anti-detection and anti-scrying spells on the reading room, Lys took out the potion from the medicine box her mom left behind.
Pinching her nose, she swallowed it, then lay half-dead on the floor, enduring the sensation of bugs biting and cats scratching from some unknown place in her soul.
Her mom's potion quality was indeed high. By the time the sun rose, Lys pulled herself up from the floor, feeling as if the fog before her eyes had been lifted. The once blurry world was suddenly doused with a splash of water—cool, clear, and even the colors and magical fluctuations seemed sharper.
She sat dumbfounded on the floor, staring at the familiar yet strange surroundings all morning until her stomach's growling from hunger awakened her.
If this was normal, then why couldn't she see clearly when she hadn't tampered with her soul? Holding a frying pan, Lys fell into deep thought until the smell of burning steak snapped her back to reality.
Lys spent the entire day in a muddle, even misplacing the catalog on the wrong bookshelf, and was so absent-minded while using Scourgify that all the chairs in the reading room ended up on the bookshelves, and the cushions were stacked on the counter.
The overly clear and complete world left Lys absent-minded. Even when the boy from last night came with his grandfather to read, she didn't react, leaving all the customers to self-service while enduring the effects of her absent-minded magic.
Grasping her arm, even the sensation of pain felt more pronounced. It wasn't until days later when Senna returned with Noah that Lys felt slightly better.
This time, though Noah's complexion was still pale, he wasn't as weak. He even cheerfully invited Lys to go shopping.
Seeing Lys's delayed reactions, Senna suspiciously raised her wand to verify her identity but realized there were no shared secrets to use for verification. Instead, she cast several detection spells and even made Lys drink a detection potion.
There were no issues—it was indeed her, unaffected by the Imperius Curse or any wrong potion.
Lys pointed to the alchemical item by the door, "Mom, I just realized its color, and I can feel it has magical fluctuations."
"What nonsense are you talking about? Alchemical items, of course, have magical fluctuations. Where else would your magic be applied?" Senna replied impatiently, wondering how her little lunatic turned into a little fool after just one trip home.
"But I didn't know before. Now what I see is different from what I knew before..."
Seeing Lys in a daze like she was dreaming, Senna checked the medicine box to confirm her potion was indeed fine, then let Lys sit at the shop door to daydream.
Noah cleaned up the piled-up dishes and burnt pans from the past few days. "Senna, is little star really okay?" He prepared a simple salad and cold-cut sandwiches. Watching Lys constantly looking out the door, Noah felt uneasy.
Senna reassured him, "Your daughter dared to mess with her soul. I don't know the consequences, but it seems not too bad now. Don't worry."
It wasn't until the arrival of the school notice and report card that Noah's reaction barely pulled Lys out of her dreamlike state.

At the moment he saw the report card, Noah's hair stood on end—it's no exaggeration, his head seemed to double in size!
He threw himself into Senna's arms, crying, "If my mother were alive, Senna, would she smile at me? With perfect grades, would my child make her proud?"
"Thank you, my dear Senna, thank you for giving me such an outstanding child!" He kissed Senna's cheek messily.
Senna didn't comment; she was surprised the child had grown up alive.
Lys remained in a daze, looking at the scene before her with a confused expression.
It was as if she had always been submerged in a chaotic mire, her movements and vision constantly hindered but considered normal.
Now, a bottle of high-quality soul stabilizer had cleared those barriers, leaving Lys unable to open her eyes to face the world.
Senna stared at the report card that Noah had magnified and stuck in the most prominent window spot.
"Divination? Outstanding?"
Looking at the now dazed Lys at the shop entrance, she couldn't help but think that Lys indeed had the aura of a seer.
