AMAYA'S POV
"You're saying that you want Maxim to bite me and drink my blood to get well," I said.
"Yes, Amaya."
I scoffed and chuckled in disbelief. This was hilarious. The moment I wanted to leave behind everything, he dragged me back with some excuse. Now, he was back and this time, I don't think it would be easy to ignore it, no matter how much I tried to.
He was in a bad condition, and he needed saving. Even though I wanted nothing to do with him anymore, I had to save him. His people needed him, the people who mattered to him needed him. Most importantly, his child needed him.
"How bad is it and where is he?" I asked.
Stanley smiled. "He's here."
I blinked once, then again before looking past him at the door. Maxim was here?
"I brought him here because I felt that you wouldn't want to come back if I came here alone. He's in the other room."
