James held Komachi's hands in desperation because by now, Komachi's hand had tightened around his throat. Mona used all of her strength to uncurl his fingers from around James, and thankfully, she managed to do it.
"*********" James cursed and slumped down to the floor; he was panting, gasping for breath, rubbing his neck.
Komachi kept staring at him with pure hostility until he felt a warmth engulfing his senses. Mona had gone ahead and embraced him tightly; she kept her hands interlocked to make sure he couldn't get away from her hold.
"Come back to me, Komachi." After what seemed like an eternity, she said in a soft tone, stretching her hand to caress his cheek. She could see the internal turmoil in his black eyes, and that made one thing sure: Charlotte Sanders was someone really important to him.
