The door turned open, and Jenny could hear her heart beating in her ears. Liam came into her view, the smirk placed on his face as always. He commanded the man to stay at bay before he entered the room.
"Hmph… Look at you; did you just get sexier, Jenny?" he remarked. Jenny gulped down the lump, feeling his gaze lurking around her. She felt naked in his gaze, and that made her feel disgusted to her very core.
Jenny averted her gaze when he came to stand face to face. She winced when he harshly held her by the chin and made her look into his eyes.
"I'm gonna ask one last time—my girlfriend or there?" He gestured outside, indicating the brothel.
Jenny's blood boiled hearing his proposal. How dare he even think she was going to choose him after all the things he had done to her earlier—not that he was any better now. Moreover, she had already sold her heart to James.
