Chapter 322: Underworld Soil
The attendant didn't understand. Ninjutsu, chakra, and the like were common knowledge in the hidden villages, but to the outside world, many people had no idea what they meant. This attendant's understanding of chakra was limited to the term itself.
"With only this little soil, what can you do?" he asked.
Kazuma, as if presenting a treasure, took out ten more similar scrolls.
"Please report to the Daimyo for me. I have obtained a total of eleven scrolls of this soil. It is definitely enough to cover Konoha Village's cemetery. As long as the Daimyo gives his approval, I will begin immediately."
The attendant didn't dare to agree to such a big matter on behalf of the Daimyo. He had to go back and report.
"I will go back and report to the Daimyo. You may leave now."
Kazuma bowed respectfully to the ground. "Yes."
Before leaving, the attendant asked one more question, "By the way, what is the name of this soil of yours?"
"I call it Creation Soil."
As soon as his voice fell, a clear laugh rang out from outside the door. "Hahahaha, Creation Soil? What a lame name. Isn't this just Underworld Soil? My luck is really good; my old pal's house now has bricks…"
Kazuma's pupils shrank. Seeing Ino slowly walk into the room, he immediately signaled to his subordinates. The information has been leaked. Use lethal force. Kill!
A ninja wearing no forehead protector was hiding in a corner. Seeing Ino enter the room, he closed his mouth tightly, held his breath, then silently emerged, stabbing a kunai at Ino's back.
"Pfft." He was fast, but Ino was faster.
Ino didn't even turn around. Her right hand swept down her leg.
Shūsui, carrying a light blue chakra blade, pierced through the ninja's chin and out the top of his skull.
"Jiro!" Another ninja in the room roared, holding a long sword, and slashed at Ino's neck.
What greeted him was a side kick. When his blade was still dozens of centimeters from Ino's bangs, his heart was shattered by the Heavenly Foot of Pain.
The immense force made the man's spine crack, and his body slammed into the wall like a pile of mud, shaking the house twice.
Ino's ferocity stunned these ninjas hired by the Daimyo.
"A Konoha ninja? I recognize you. You are a ninja from the Yamanaka clan. I advise you not to get involved in this mess, don't bring disaster to your clan!"
Kazuma had been so obsequious to the Daimyo's attendant, but towards Ino, he suddenly became arrogant.
It was unknown what was wrong with this person. He could clearly be a human, yet he insisted on being a dog.
Not only did he act like a dog himself, but he also wanted everyone in his class to be dogs with him, and in the end, he even wanted to hand the leash to the master. In Ino's eyes, this person was a lunatic. You couldn't find many such idiots even if you searched the entire ninja world.
Ino sneered. She didn't look at Kazuma but examined the Underworld Soil.
The aura of the dead was very strong. It was likely the product of continuous burials and drenching in fresh blood in a special environment.
Many people must have been buried alive in this soil, including many ninjas. Their chakra had turned into resentment and remained in the soil.
Ino was extremely satisfied.
She had been worrying about how to trade for the Yin Nine-Tails from the Shinigami. The value of the five Rashōmon gates was still a bit lacking. Now, wasn't this good stuff right here?
The Shinigami's "house" was full of holes kicked out by the Ōtsutsuki and others. Before, the "house" had no doors and was drafty on all four sides. Now, she could use this Underworld Soil to make bricks.
Sensing the dense underworld aura here, she had left Hinata aside and rushed over. In her heart, the silly Shinigami was her absolute best friend! No arguments allowed!
"Don't bring disaster? What you are planning to do is what will bring disaster." Ino didn't want Hinata to wait in the room for long. The Daimyo's name might have some deterrent effect on Konoha ninjas, but to her, it was nothing.
So what if I kill them? Does the Daimyo have several thousand ninja troops?
"Flower Art: Six-Wheel Bloom!"
The tatami mats on the floor were broken by vines, which then, in a dense mass, entangled the dozen or so ninjas in the room.
The Daimyo's attendant was the weakest. The vines wrapped around his hands, feet, and spine, then pulled hard in opposite directions.
With a series of "crack-crack" sounds, the young and handsome attendant, who was much favored by the Daimyo, was forcibly bent into a meatball by the vines. His arms, legs, and spine were all broken. Dark brown blood clots sprayed from his mouth and nose. His eyes were lifeless, and he died on the spot.
Kazuma hadn't expected Ino to be so ruthless. He wanted to argue with her, but his actions were a whole beat too slow. He took out a pewter staff, cut the vines winding towards him, and by the time he went to save the others, it was already too late.
"You! Traitor! You dare to harm the Daimyo's attendant! Are you rebelling?" He was so angry his eyes seemed to spew fire. Ino's look, as if she were looking at an idiot, only added fuel to the fire.
"You don't know your place! You lowly woman, I will definitely kill you!"
He attacked repeatedly, helping several of his subordinates escape.
This guy was crazy, but as one of the former Guardian Shinobi Twelve, his skills were still decent.
The Six-Wheel Bloom couldn't hold him.
Ino's probing was over. She immediately formed hand seals.
"Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique!"
A giant shuriken was thrown, turning from one to two, two to four, four to sixteen!
An overwhelming, countless number of shadow clone shuriken flew towards Kazuma and the ninjas beside him.
This technique was completely useless against a "Gundam" like Susanoo, but at present, against a few thin-skinned ninjas, it was absolutely a first-rate ninjutsu.
Kazuma had three elite ninjas under him: Fūka, Fudō, and Fuen. Fūka had already been killed by Ino during the confrontation with Dan's team. Now, only Fudō, who was skilled in Earth Release, and Fuen, a female ninja skilled in genjutsu and sealing jutsu, were here.
Facing the "Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique" invented by the Third Hokage, even Kazuma, who was commendable in taijutsu, ninjutsu, and genjutsu, was forced to retreat again and again.
The pewter staff in his hand looked very Six-Paths-like, but in reality, it was just an iron rod.
"Clang clang clang." Kazuma swung the pewter staff like a windmill. Five seconds later, he forcefully tore off the roof and went outside.
The quiet night of the capital was completely shattered. Seeing them fighting with ninjutsu, the soldiers on night watch began to beat their gongs.
Kazuma stood on the roof, looking down.
Fudō and Fuen, with their considerable skills, had managed to escape from the impenetrable rain of shuriken. But the other dozen or so ninjas were either turned into sieves or had their spines snapped by the vines, just like the attendant.
The ninjas loyal to the Daimyo, who were once quite numerous, had now been wiped out by Ino's Six-Wheel Bloom and Shuriken Shadow Clone. Two minutes into the battle, only the three of them were left.
"Earth Release: Earth Mausoleum Dumpling!" Fudō roared, using an Earth Release ninjutsu that Jirōbō had once used.
Using Earth Release chakra, he dug a giant rock out of the ground, then with both arms, he viciously smashed the giant rock towards Ino.
