"Getting to my office took more than a decade." Sarcasm was laced in Kingsley's words. His eyes were still on his laptop as he typed something out.
Raymond had a tight face as he strode into the office with the pale-looking Marshal behind him.
Marshal cleared his throat in embarrassment. Raymond's threatening words slipped into his mind again and his face turned grim. "Boss Elm…" he acknowledged and finally, Kingsley looked up from his laptop.
His eyes went from Raymond who was tucked in the corner and then, to Marshal who was standing in front of his desk.
"Raymond finally told you his piece of mind about your affairs with his late mother??" Kingsley asked, his eyes innocent. But his words sent a bunch of embarrassment to Marshal.
Marshal flushed a little. His head lowered. Raymond just kept staring at Marshal with a calm look, and calculative eyes as if watching his prey. Expecting his prey to go astray so he could strike.
