Unable to digest what he was hearing, the commander pressed on.
"Are you saying Kaeliyus works under you?" He asked, clearly in disbelief.
"Yes," Seiya replied calmly.
"Why?" The commander probed, drawing Seiya's gaze this time. He felt the commander was asking more than he should, which didn't sit quite well with him.
Feeling his gaze as a bit oppressive, the commander got the hint right away—drawing back.
"I apologize. You don't have to answer that," he said.
Seiya returned his focus to his food, eating quietly. The commander's gaze rested nervously on him, seeing the boy before him as a mystery he wanted to unravel.
"Regarding the village," he continued softly. "Will you have any problem taking down the barrier?"
"Why?"
"The villagers had previously requested some supplies from us, and because of the barrier that no one has been able to access, it's been a hindrance," the commander explained.
