The words Yoruha spoke were just in jest. Kihon Toichi naturally knew this, but he still gave him a light tap on the head. "You little rascal, you dare to tattle, huh?"

Yoruha awkwardly covered his head and said, "I wouldn't dare." Kihon Toichi feigned seriousness, "So you mean you want to?" Yoruha's mouth twitched slightly, "Teacher Toichi, I admit defeat, alright? I was just being mouthy earlier."

Only then did Kihon Toichi smile. Seeing the master and apprentice interact like this, Kakashi's lips curled up slightly. This was exactly what he hoped to see. If Yoruha had become distant from Kihon Toichi after having him as a teacher, he definitely wouldn't have liked that version of Yoruha.

As it turned out, Yoruha didn't disappoint him. To change the subject, Yoruha looked at Yamanaka Kaze and said, "So what now? How do we deal with him?"

Kakashi and Kihon Toichi exchanged a glance. Kihon Toichi stood up, patted Yoruha on the shoulder, and said, "Leave it to us teachers to handle. You just rest easy and don't worry about these things." Yoruha wanted to say something, but Kakashi echoed Kihon Toichi's words, "Listen to Doi. You don't need to concern yourself with these matters right now. We will take care of it." Seeing how insistent they were, Yoruha didn't say anything further.

Kihon Toichi walked over to Yamanaka Kaze and smiled, "You really underestimated Yoruha. He's much stronger than you now." Kihon Toichi proudly muttered to himself. Kakashi rolled his eyes at him, "Alright, stop gloating and hurry up and take him away."

Kihon Toichi didn't say anything more and hoisted Yamanaka Kaze onto his shoulder. As he was leaving, Kihon Toichi looked at Yoruha and smiled, "Get some good rest. Oh, and tomorrow you need to explain things to Taniko and Shumoku about these past few days." Yoruha nodded.

Yoruha had only been on two missions with them, so their time together was short. There wasn't much emotional attachment. However, Yoruha did quite like Yamada Shumoku and Hon Yamada Taniko.

Both of them had good personalities. In fact, compared to constantly having to appease Naruto and Sasuke, Yoruha preferred Shumoku and Taniko. Kakashi just nodded at Yoruha before disappearing from Yoruha's room with Kihon Toichi.

Looking at the now empty room, Yoruha shook his head, "Danzo, I thought I could avoid you, but it seems I overestimated you." Yoruha had assumed Danzo wouldn't be so idle, but who knew he would miscalculate. Kihon Toichi and Kakashi, carrying Yamanaka Kaze, quickly arrived at the Root headquarters after leaving Yoruha's place.

Danzo, who was sitting at the Root headquarters waiting for news about Yamanaka Kaze, had a bad feeling. His face, always gloomy, heard footsteps approaching from afar. Danzo looked ahead, and as the footsteps grew closer, his gaze sharpened, and he even felt a bit nervous. Finally, the owners of the footsteps appeared under the light. Danzo stood up with a grim expression.

Leaning on his cane, his face was extremely unpleasant. The two who appeared were indeed Kihon Toichi and Kakashi, with Kihon Toichi carrying the still-unconscious Yamanaka Kaze. Danzo suppressed his anger, watching as Kakashi and Kihon Toichi brought Yamanaka Kaze before him.

Zhang watched the two approaching figures with vigilance. However, the few Root ninjas beneath their masks were drenched in cold sweat. As fellow members of the Anbu, how could they not know the prowess of these two individuals before them?

Moreover, these were two people who once held very high positions within the Anbu. One was the head of the Anbu combat unit, and the other was the head of one of the interrogation departments. One was an elite jonin, the other a jonin, while they were merely a few chunin.

Even Aburame Torune, the elite jonin standing in front of Danzo, felt immense pressure. He was confident he could defeat Muto Tomoe, but he had no such confidence against Kakashi. Kakashi was currently the strongest among the jonin of Konoha.

At least on the surface, he was the strongest, and in reality, there were few in Konoha who could surpass him. Most importantly, Yamanaka Kaze, who was being carried by Muto Tomoe, was also a jonin. Yet he had been taken down.

Torune knew very well how strong Yamanaka Kaze was, yet he was still defeated. The pressure on Aburame Torune was immense. Seeing the pressure Kakashi and Muto Tomoe exerted on his subordinates, Danzo grew even angrier.

With a gloomy tone, he said, "Stand down." He didn't want them to continue embarrassing themselves here. Unless Kakashi and Muto Tomoe intended to betray Konoha, they wouldn't dare make a move against him, a high-ranking official of Konoha.

Though the Root ninjas were reluctant, seeing Danzo's somber expression, they hesitated no longer and immediately vanished from Danzo's sight. Aburame Torune, however, did not leave.

Danzo didn't mind; Torune's strength was sufficient. Although he might not be a match for Kakashi, he wasn't far off. Moreover, Torune was his confidant, holding a different status within Root compared to other ninjas. When Kakashi and Muto Tomoe reached Danzo, Muto Tomoe put down Yamanaka Kaze.

Danzo gritted his teeth gloomily. "Kakashi, Muto Tomoe, are you planning a rebellion?" "Attacking fellow village ninjas."

Kakashi faced Danzo with utmost seriousness. He had once served under Danzo for a period. However, he was soon taken away by the Third Hokage. Despite Danzo's preemptive strike, Kakashi and Muto Tomoe remained unfazed.

Kakashi looked at Danzo seriously and said, "We don't intend to rebel, but what does Lord Danzo intend by attacking fellow villagers?" Kakashi was not afraid of Danzo in the slightest. Danzo had no control over him, and the Third Hokage wouldn't do anything to Kakashi because of Danzo.

Danzo gritted his teeth, seething with anger. He was a high-ranking official of Konoha, and although Kakashi was once a captain of the Anbu, his status was ultimately not as high. Yet Danzo truly had no means against Kakashi.

The Third Hokage valued Kakashi greatly, and Kakashi's influence among the younger generation of Konoha was far stronger than Danzo's. The only thing Danzo could use to suppress Kakashi was his status. But if Kakashi truly didn't care, Danzo had no real recourse.

Danzo gritted his teeth, suppressing his fury, and said in a gloomy tone, "I just wanted to see what kind of person the Third Hokage would promote, disregarding the rules. As a Hokage advisor, shouldn't I do that?" Kakashi sneered, "Lord Danzo, you should have some expectation of what methods your subordinates might employ, shouldn't you?"

"Kakashi!" Danzo shouted angrily at Kakashi. "Mind your status. Do you know who you're speaking to?"

"Didn't Hiruzen teach you any manners?" On the side, Aburame Torune frowned, ready to unleash a jutsu on Kakashi. His face had turned purple, covered with invisible poisonous insects.

Kakashi, however, remained unfazed. Muto Tomoe was also prepared to act. Although Danzo wanted nothing more than to kill Kakashi on the spot, he knew very well that Kakashi was not an ordinary ninja, and killing him would have far-reaching consequences. Danzo was confident he could kill Kakashi, with his arm full of Sharingan and Uchiha Shisui's Sharingan giving him enough confidence to do so.
