Chapter 115 - Chapter 115

Yoruha looked at Yamanaka Kaze without a trace of fear, a smile playing on his lips. "It seems it wasn't the Hokage who sent you to fetch me. If I were to verify this now, the person behind you would be in quite a predicament, wouldn't they?" Yamanaka Kaze frowned, not expecting Yoruha to remain unfazed and even have the audacity to tease him. Despite the teasing, Yoruha showed no sign of fear.

"Kid, don't make things difficult for me. You'd better behave, or I can't guarantee you'll remain unscathed when I take you away." Yoruha shook his head with a smile. "You sure talk big. Do you really think you can take me away with absolute certainty?" In Konoha, this was the first time Yamanaka Kaze had encountered a ninja who showed him no respect.

It was well known that his position in the Root was not low, being one of Danzo's right-hand men. Seeing Yoruha's attitude, he decided not to waste any more words. "Since you don't want to come quietly, I'll have to use force." With that, Yamanaka Kaze quickly formed hand seals.

"Ninja Art: Mind Transfer Jutsu~" Before he could complete the seals, Yoruha vanished from sight. In the next moment, a kunai appeared at Yamanaka Kaze's throat. The cold steel brought him to his senses instantly.

"Mind Transfer Jutsu, from the Yamanaka clan, is it?" Yoruha's calm voice came from behind him, leaving Yamanaka Kaze stunned.

"This guy, he's so fast, I didn't even have time to react." Yamanaka Kaze was considered a trusted aide by Danzo because of his jonin-level skills. Yet, Yoruha's movement was so swift that he couldn't even register it, let alone see when Yoruha had appeared behind him.

This terrifying speed almost made Yamanaka Kaze believe Yoruha was using space-time ninjutsu. The cold kunai at his neck reminded him that Yoruha's strength had indeed surpassed his own. "Danzo-sama's suspicions were right; this kid's power has reached the level of a jonin."

Yamanaka Kaze remained silent, and Yoruha wasn't interested in wasting words with him. With a slight narrowing of his eyes, a few golden arcs of electricity appeared on his kunai. "Zzz~" Just as Yamanaka Kaze was thinking about how to escape this situation, he suddenly felt a numbness all over his body.

In the next moment, his mind lost all consciousness. Yoruha looked at the fallen Yamanaka Kaze in front of him, shaking his head with a lazy tone, "It's getting more and more troublesome. Danzo's actually set his sights on me."

"So annoying!" With that, Yoruha disappeared from his room. A short while later, Yoruha, Kakashi, and Kihon Dōichi appeared in Yoruha's room.

In less than ten minutes, Yoruha had already notified Kihon Dōichi and Kakashi. Yoruha's speed had become incredibly fast. In terms of speed, he had even surpassed the current fastest in the ninja world, the Fourth Raikage. However, he himself hadn't realized it.

Kakashi and Kihon Dōichi, on the other hand, had noticed. They weren't too concerned about Yamanaka Kaze; upon seeing him, they knew who had sent him. They were more astonished by Yoruha's current speed.

Both of them recognized that Yoruha's speed was on par with the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze. The Flying Thunder God Technique was a space-time ninjutsu, but it could only transport the user to a pre-marked seal.

The power of the Flying Thunder God Technique is also determined by this. Minato Namikaze's strength, aside from the Flying Thunder God Technique, lies in his ability to launch an attack the moment he teleports in front of an enemy, reacting faster than his opponent. This is the true reason he can wreak havoc using the Flying Thunder God Technique.

During the Fourth Shinobi World War, when Tobirama Senju used the Flying Thunder God Technique against Madara Uchiha, he was instantly caught. This was because, although Tobirama could teleport instantly, his reaction speed was inferior to Madara's, leading to his capture the moment he attacked. Yoruha's reaction speed, without a doubt, is terrifying.

Since Yoruha doesn't know the Flying Thunder God Technique, his movement relies entirely on Lightning Body Flicker, similar to the Fourth Raikage, without the need for Flying Thunder God markings to designate his destination. Therefore, Yoruha must constantly be aware of his position while moving, requiring exceptional reflexes and control over his body and chakra. Yoruha was unaware that Kakashi and Moku Hon'ichi had long known the identity of Yamanaka Kaze.

At this moment, Yamanaka Kaze was wearing an ANBU mask, so Yoruha didn't recognize him. However, Kakashi and Moku Hon'ichi had already identified him.

Seeing that Kakashi and Moku Hon'ichi remained silent, Yoruha took the initiative to ask, "Two teachers, this person should be from the ANBU, right? But I don't think he was sent by the Hokage; he must have been sent by some high-ranking official in Konoha." Kakashi and Moku Hon'ichi looked up at Yoruha and said, "You're not wrong. This person is indeed from the ANBU, but certainly not sent by the Third Hokage."

"It seems you've caught his attention, probably because the Third Hokage promoted you to Chunin today, and that's why he's watching you." Yoruha, sitting by the bed and looking at Yamanaka Kaze on the ground, said, "So it really is some high-ranking official, huh?" He spoke calmly, as if unaware of his current situation.

However, Kakashi and Moku Hon'ichi were not surprised anymore. Yoruha's strength constantly amazed them, but his personality remained unchanged. He always seemed unperturbed, as if no danger was worth fearing in his eyes.

Kakashi crouched down, removed Yamanaka Kaze's mask, and said to Yoruha, "He's a ninja from Root, a special division of the ANBU. Root is not under the Hokage's control; they take orders from an elder named Danzo." Upon seeing Yamanaka Kaze, Yoruha didn't need Kakashi's explanation to know who had sent him.

He had some memory of Yamanaka Kaze; his image was simply unforgettable. Yoruha chuckled, "Is such a fuss necessary? A mere Chunin like me actually warrants a personal visit from the village's high-ranking officials."

"But the existence of a unit independent of the Hokage's jurisdiction in Konoha surprises me even more." Moku Hon'ichi walked over, sat beside Yoruha, and explained, "This is the nature of power struggles. To become Hokage, one must manage various interests; the village is not solely under the Hokage's command."

Yoruha nodded, though he didn't care much because he had known this for a long time. He thought the Third Hokage was too merciful, or perhaps too weak, allowing Danzo to become so arrogant.

The ANBU is enough to handle dirty work; why establish Root? The ANBU was originally meant for such tasks, and Root's existence only wastes resources. However, Yoruha didn't want to comment on such matters.

After all, he had no intention of getting involved in the power struggles of the village's high-ranking officials. Moku Hon'ichi quickly explained the entire conflict between the Third Hokage and Danzo to Yoruha, including many things Yoruha was unaware of.

Yoruha, somewhat speechless, looked at Moku Hon'ichi and said, "Teacher Hon'ichi, if the Hokage knew you were talking about him like this, he might not be pleased." Of course, Yoruha understood that Moku Hon'ichi was sharing these secrets to help him see the true nature of the Third Hokage and Danzo. Moku Hon'ichi wouldn't normally disclose such information to just anyone.

But Yoruha was different; he could share everything he knew with Yoruha, even if it was village secrets. Kakashi, on the other hand, showed no intention of stopping him. If Moku Hon'ichi hadn't spoken, Kakashi would have done so himself.
