Thanatos bowed slightly, still in the same position he began "I have come to seek your help." Thanatos did not speak after uttering said words.
Hearing Thanatos' words Anubis could not help but be shocked. He knew that although Thanatos had the attitude of a graceful old man he was not weak.
He knew that if Thanatos of all people were to ask for help... Something truly terrifying must be afoot. "Thanatos" Anubis's voice was quiet but carried the weight of a king.
"Tell me, has 'that' reawakened?" His eyes are dark with fear and anger, the past war against that 'thing' was an extremely costly battle.
Many gods he knew perished, if it hadn't been for the timely intervention of that one dark cloaked being most likely his pantheon would have been wiped out.
In the past when the battle was taking a turn for the worse. Despair and helplessness were commonplace amongst the gods a dark cloaked figure appeared.
Like a true god descending to save the masses, it displayed a frightening amount of power. He remembered how the sky darkened, the gravity around multiplied till the point that he an ancient god that was on the level of a god king could barely even keep his head off the ground.
Like a helpless mortal in the face of a god, he felt too terrified to move. All that happened was he existed, he existed before overwhelming force crushed that 'thing' that basically the largest collation of gods failed to fight like an ant.
His pride along with most gods present or observing that day were utterly crushed, who's wouldn't? A proud god being cornered and treated as if he was insignificant witnessing a being casually crushing that despair inducing being.
Anubis came out of his revelry and asked Thanatos again. "What happened? The Thanatos I know would not ask for help unless he is completely left without a choice.
The look that adorned Thanatos face now was chilling. The man's face was devoid of any emotion, all that could be seen was helplessness.
Frankly Anubis was afraid of what Thanatos might say, but as a king he had a duty. The pure and simple duty to protect his kingdom, if he drew breath he would not let the Duat fall.
The next words that came out of Thanatos's mouth frankly made Anubis want to strangle the man. "I need your help to determine my guest's intention."
Anubis's face grew red with anger, here he imagined that that 'Thing' would wreak havoc once again. Then there was this man was here for a simple heart weighting? If that were the case then why is his attitude so dire?
He calmed down a little, he liked to think rationally. He knew that no matter how eccentric Thanatos was he would not wear that face for nothing.
Sighing Thanatos gestured, let's head to my reception room. We can talk more there before turning his heel and walking along with Apep.
Thanatos gestured for Marco to follow suit, still staying in the same position Marco was stunned. He was now wondering what exactly is going on.
How come Anubis one of the most respected gods showed such a face when he talked about that 'Thing'? Was he talking about Cthulhu?
Last he remembered it was locked below the Bermuda triangle or something. Honestly, he wasn't really concerned with that, all he really wanted was the training he was promised.
He looked at the back of the walking Thanatos and sighed. He now hoped that his wives had a better time 'training' than he did, honestly this whole going around in circles thing was frankly making him angry.
