All the Gu Immortals who came to the battlefield surrounded Li Tian's clones. Together with the three venerables—Star Constellation, Giant Sun, and Limitless—they launched a full-scale assault. Above them, the massive celestial Eye in the sky remained open, flickering briefly—just 0.1 seconds of eternity, but enough to freeze time for a moment.
In that blink of frozen existence, several Rank 6 Gu Immortals died instantly, their bodies torn apart by lingering chaos energy, spatial implosions, and backlash from overloaded killer moves.
As the Eye closed, time resumed. The battlefield quaked with energy.
Li Tian's destruction-path clones descended like black comets, each one marked with crimson rune-seals. One clone raised its hand, unleashing the killer move Ruinous Collapse Field—a dome of anti-energy that devoured every Gu aura within range, destabilizing all structured killer moves.
Another clone from the creation path responded with Genesis Bloom Array, launching crystalline projectiles of raw creation essence into the air. Wherever they landed, malformed beasts of chaos and energy burst into life, rampaging across the battlefield.
Star Constellation immediately deployed Starlight Chrono Cage, surrounding three destruction clones with a rotating prism of star-light mixed with time path Dao marks. The prism accelerated time for the clones trapped within—forcing their Gu consumption to spike, burning through their essence.
Limitless used the Rule Path Gu within his blessed land and declared firmly, "Creation is forbidden."
The moment the words left his mouth, all creation-path killer moves crumbled into dust. Even the malformed beasts born from Genesis Bloom Array disintegrated mid-roar. The cost of manifesting such a rule, however, was immense—Limitless's body grew heavy, collapsing to one knee, and his immortal essence reserves were entirely drained.
By invoking a rule that banned creation itself, he ironically triggered a paradox—his very act of creating the rule now fell under its restriction. Yet the rule recognized its source and spared him from annihilation. His survival was not out of bias but from a failsafe clause: the originator of the rule would remain intact to ensure stability.
He knows this as well, and he doesn't about him being injured as he got half eternity body even though he is rank 6 right now due to the rule, and he can regenrate faster than anyone here.
Li Tian's creation-path clones, however, were not so fortunate. Some clones formed from pure creation essence, they blinked out of existence almost instantly, undone by the very law that now governed the battlefield.
The destruction-path clones remained, untouched and snarling. Their existence did not violate the newly enforced law. If anything, they now stood as the only surviving embodiment of chaos incarnate.
The battle resumed as the destruction-path clones began to emit thick black smoke. Their bodies twisted, morphing from humanoid forms into monstrous abominations wreathed in shadow. Each clone became a unique terror—some took the shapes of nightmarish birds like eagles and owls, others transformed into lions and serpents, while a few warped into grotesque chimeras with multiple heads and limbs. All of them were constructed from dense black smoke, endlessly billowing from their forms.
A Rank 6 Gu Immortal from the strength path charged one of the clones, unleashing a crushing blow. But before contact could be made, the Gu Immortal convulsed violently. The black smoke had invaded his lungs and flesh, corroding him from within. He collapsed to the ground, coughing blood—and died within moments.
This smoke was pure destruction. Anyone who inhaled it or made contact would have their essence devoured. It was not a killer move—it was the clones' very nature made manifest. Ordinarily, one could use purification or wind-type Gu to disperse such effects but destruction cna still overpower them and the only path that can counter it was creation path, but Limitless's rules had disabled all Gu paths that countered destruction. Even air-cleansing Gu failed to halt the smoke.
Although 'All Are Equal' was still in effect, it only balanced strength levels. The clones' physical forms still emitted smoke beyond the rule's scope. Even they were not immune—each clone had only minutes to live before the smoke consumed them.
There were only around 900 clones, and more than 1,000 enemies. The odds were against them. But with a berserk impulse implanted into their cores, the clones simultaneously entered a frenzy.
Howling, they tore through the battlefield, ravaging Gu Immortals with reckless abandon. Their black smoke filled the air like a plague. Entire squads of immortals perished within seconds. The ground trembled beneath the chaos.
Star Constellation activated a star-path killer move, slicing down several clones in one precise motion. Giant Sun's golden palm struck from the sky, smashing a dozen beasts into pulp. Limitless, despite being weakened, used his remaining essence to support the outer flanks. Even some Gu Immortals managed to kill clones—but it always came at a cost.
The battle waged for several brutal minutes, until only silence remained. The ground was littered with the corpses of fallen Gu Immortals. Of the destruction-path clones, only one remained—heaving and snarling, black smoke seeping from its ruined form.
Above, the Eye continued to loom, a sentinel in the sky.
On the blood-soaked battlefield, only the three venerables still stood. Each was wounded, blood matting their robes and armor. Even they had been pushed to the brink.
Fang Yuan, too weak to participate, lay unconscious at the edge of the battlefield, his eyes shut in a quiet slumber.
Outside the illusion, Li Tian who is observeing the battle he created, he relaxed a bit as his plan went smoothly.
"As expected," he murmured. "Everything proceeds according to plan."
