Chapter 116 - Final Battle

Li Tian looked back at Limitless and said coldly, "Big Brother, I pierced directly into your soul. There is no path left for you, and I'm already absorbing your essence. This is the end for you. Die for me."

Li Tian sneered. "Tch. I never trusted anyone, not even you. You're my brother, so I kept you alive—but never close enough to risk myself. You think you've cornered me, but from the moment I helped you ascend to half-eternity, I've been clouding everyone's minds using chaos energy. I'm the blind spot in every calculation. You were always under me."

"Just because you cloaked your true intentions doesn't mean I couldn't see through them. And take your filthy hand off my clone, trash," Li Tian snapped, his voice sharper than a blade.

Despite the wound Limitless had inflicted, Li Tian's clone raised its hand calmly. With a faint gesture skyward, a finger touched Limitless's forehead. The body pierced by Limitless dissolved into motes of light, fading into the void.

Limitless, startled, instinctively looked to the sky. The others followed his gaze.

Up above—an Eye.

It loomed vast and ominous across the heavens, its black pupil locked within concentric rings, glowing faintly crimson. Within those rings, symmetrical, flame-like marks swirled—an intricate, ritualistic sigil.

The surface of the eye writhed like molten plasma, held together by some unseen will. Its rings rotated in opposite directions, drawing the eye into a hypnotic spiral of power.

It split the sky apart like a cosmic wound. Red-black lightning streaked outward, illuminating the heavens in a chaotic storm.

Then a voice rang out, omnipresent and thunderous:

"Pathetic. Limitless—you reached half eternity, yet you still cannot grasp chaos. You lost to a clone in this illusion. That's your limit. I'm done playing games."

As the voice of Li Tian rang out and faded into the chaos-ridden skies, a new clone formed instantly—its body pulsed with swirling black and white energies, the signature of chaos essence. Unlike the previous clone, this one radiated an oppressive force, its mere presence distorting the space around it. It launched forward like a meteor tearing through clouds of chaos.

Limitless, who had been immersed in comprehending the chaos within his body, suddenly opened his eyes. A surge of insight bloomed in his mind. He raised his hand slowly and declared, "Flying is prohibited."

Then followed, "All are equal."

He had no Gu worms for these rules—but after observing Li Tian's clone, he realized that nearing the realm of rank 10 or half eternity allowed one to manipulate dao marks directly, independent of Gu.

Still, Limitless was only at half eternity. His ability to manifest such feats was restricted. He could form only two complete Gu worms purely from dao marks. Using all his remaining potential, he crafted one—Rule Gu.

This Immortal Gu glowed faintly and hovered before him.

Upon activation, its influence expanded instantly.

A field of rules descended across the battlefield. Flying ceased—the winds fell dead, and all cultivators touched the ground. Simultaneously, a suppressive force spread through the heavens and earth, leveling the energy of all present to match the weakest: Fang Yuan.

Li Tian plummeted from the skies, his chaos-wrapped form dimming, as if shackled by unseen chains. Everyone, regardless of path or cultivation, felt their power wrenched down to the same baseline.

The battlefield fell into stunned silence.who was the weakest out of all , and all others were same their all energy became equal to Fang Yuan.

Just as Li Tian fell from the sky, a blood-red lake manifested beneath him. Its surface rippled like boiling tar before splitting open into a gaping maw lined with jagged, obsidian teeth. It lunged upward, clamping down on Li Tian's body with monstrous force.

The effect of Limitless's rule—"All are Equal"—nullified Li Tian's usual advantage of spontaneously manifesting Gu at will. His ability to form and control Gu through chaos essence was sealed along with the others.

Then, without warning, thousands of clones shimmered into existence across the sky. Each one bore embedded Gu in their bodies, descending like a legion of stars crashing toward the battlefield.

Each of the clones had a Gu embedded in their body before being released. This meant Li Tian cleverly exploited a loophole—he created Gu outside the influence of the current area of effect. Limitless had set the battlefield's suppression field to cover a radius of 500 kilometers, but Gu forged outside that boundary were exempt.

The clones carried a variety of Gu, though most of them were from the Destruction and Creation paths. Crafting Chaos Path clones was far more difficult—Li Tian had only managed to create one, or perhaps there was another yet to be revealed.

With Limitless's "All Are Equal" rule active, all the venerables—including the clones and Fang Yuan—were forcibly reduced to the same level. Just then, everyone on the battlefield felt their cultivation ranks drop from Rank 9 to Rank 6.

Limitless had orchestrated a masterful strategy to suppress Li Tian. But in his haste to conclude the battle before Li Tian could exploit any flaws, he overlooked a critical vulnerability—there was no absolute restriction preventing entry from the outside world.

Technically, this wasn't an error on Limitless's part. He had indeed placed a barrier around the battlefield, and he could still sense its presence. But somehow, a Gu Immortal from the outside had entered.

Moments later, the previously deceased members of Heavenly Court began to rise from the graveyard, along with many newly arrived Rank 6 Gu Immortals who crossed into the battlefield. These immortals had come from every corner of the world—part of a contingency plan orchestrated by Limitless and Star Constellation from the very beginning.
