"Emperor, you're here too!"
Despite her anger, Angela quickly noticed someone standing behind them—someone she had never seen before. And yet, this stranger exuded the unmistakable aura of a god.
"Angela, has anything happened in Asgard these past two days?" Hela scanned the surroundings.
There were _no_ signs of battle.
Compared to the day she took over Asgard, everything seemed _even more peaceful_. It was obvious—Thanos and his Chitauri army hadn't been here.
Of course, without the Bifrost _opened_, they had no way of entering Asgard head-on.
Had they gone to attack _another_ planet instead?
"Nothing happened."
Angela was about to ask Hela—wasn't she supposed to ask the Ancient One for a divination? Hadn't she promised to find out when Alan would _finally_ come for her?
Did it really take _two whole days_ for the Ancient One to complete a single divination?
Before she could say anything, Heimdall suddenly appeared, his body radiating golden light, sword in hand.
His expression was _grim_ as he looked at Hela.
"You _provoked_ Thanos? Are you trying to _start a war_?!"
He had seen _everything_ Hela did on Titan.
"You _could_ have just taken the Time Stone and _left_. Thanos wouldn't have even known _who_ stole it."
But Hela had deliberately woken Thanos up. She even _fought_ him—and before leaving, she _taunted_ him.
Did she even _care_ about the lives of Asgardians?!
He still _couldn't_ accept the idea of Hela, with her violent ways, becoming their ruler.
"You _stole_ the Time Stone and then _provoked_ Thanos?!"
Thor and Angela _spoke in unison_, their voices filled with disbelief.
Now, Alan finally _understood_ why the Ancient One had looked like she had so much to say but couldn't.
So _this_ was what had happened—
Hela _wanted_ war.
That's why she had provoked Thanos.
"Why _shouldn't_ I challenge him?"
Hela's lips curled into a wicked grin.
"Now is the perfect time to _restore_ Asgard's _prestige_."
She wanted Asgard to reclaim its former glory in the eyes of other star systems.
Only Asgard had the strength to protect other planets.
"Thor, Angela, don't you _want_ to use Thanos as a stepping stone to _prove_ our dominance?"
Alan sighed.
Hela really was _impossible_ to change—her love for battle ran too deep.
And the problem was… Angela and Thor _shared_ that ambition.
"You!"
Hela turned to Heimdall and pointed at him.
"Your only job is to _monitor_ Thanos' movements. The moment he prepares to attack another planet, report back to _us_ immediately..."
The way she addressed Heimdall was _arrogant_ and commanding—like a ruler speaking to a mere subordinate.
But the moment she turned to Alan—
Her entire demeanor _shifted_ in an instant.
Her expression softened, her tone turned sweet, and her gaze carried a _hint_ of shyness.
"Emperor, would you like to _stay for a meal_?"
The sudden shift in topic and attitude left everyone else struggling to keep up.
Hela was the _only_ one who could so seamlessly change gears.
"Anyway," Alan said, ignoring the _awkward_ atmosphere, "if the Chitauri army comes knocking, _let me know_ immediately."
As long as he was here, he wouldn't let Thanos carry out his ridiculous ambitions.
A trace of _disappointment_ flashed through Hela's eyes as she watched Alan and Wanda vanish from Asgard in an instant.
