From the beauty bar, they got back in their cars and went off in different directions. Phoebe and David went straight to the cafe because it was now back to work as usual. The drive there was short, within six minutes, they had arrived.
On reaching inside, Phoebe was stunned to find Collin and Lydia Baltimore having coffee. It had been a while she had last seen them. She often wondered how they were doing after everything that happened, but she was yet to visit them.
Her grandmother was their official handler; she regularly checked on them on the sly and briefed Phoebe about how the Baltimore's were fairing. So far, the Baltimore family seemed fine and normal just like any other family.
Lydia beamed like a torch when she saw Phoebe. She looked radiant and relaxed, her skin was glowing positively, and her hair was freshly done. Seeing her in that condition was a good thing and yet Phoebe could not bring herself to feel good about it.
