Chapter 240 - Chapter 240: The Knight of the Sea, Jinbe

"Fish-Man Karate Secret Technique!"

"Buraikan!"

A fist covered in jet-black Armament Haki, as massive as a battering ram, grew larger in Jack's vision.

The incoming punch shattered the air within a hundred-meter radius, sending severed limbs, shattered stones, and splattered blood flying in all directions.

"Shichibukai! The Knight of the Sea, Jinbe!"

A startled cry rang out from the Mammoth.

Sensing the overwhelming power of the newcomer, Jack roared and swung his massive arms like stone pillars.

The two fists, one large and one small in comparison, collided mid-air.

"BOOM!"

A deafening explosion erupted, like a thousand tons of explosives detonating at once.

The air within hundreds of meters churned violently, sending powerful shockwaves rippling outward.

Even the Mammoth, anchored in the lake, was pushed backward by the force, while the lake itself surged with towering waves, exposing the muddy lakebed beneath.

"Drought Jack! You dare to slaughter the citizens of my Ryugu Kingdom?! You… you deserve death!"

Jinbe's face was filled with uncontrollable fury.

Jack's massacre at Fish-Man Street had happened too quickly.

Even though Jinbe rushed over as soon as King Neptune alerted him, he was still too late to stop the bloodshed.

When Neptune mentioned that the attacker was Drought Jack of the Beasts Pirates, Jinbe immediately had a bad feeling.

The Beasts Pirates were notorious for their reckless and unrestrained ways—not just in the New World but across the entire world.

Among them, Kaido's three top calamities were the most fearsome.

They had fought and conquered territories across the New World, engaging in brutal battles against major pirates.

And among them, Drought Jack stood out as the most reckless, the most fearless, and the most unyielding.

At just twenty-three years old, he had already reached a terrifying level of strength in the New World.

"A bunch of weak, pathetic trash.

I kill who I want.

If you're unhappy, then let's see whose fists are stronger, Jinbe!"

"ROOOARRR!"

A deafening elephant's trumpet erupted from Jack's mouth as his massive, reddish-brown trunk expanded in the wind like a whip, lashing toward Jinbe's face.

Jinbe's seemingly bulky body moved with surprising agility, dodging the strike and extending his arms fluidly like a swimming dragon.

He grabbed Jack's long trunk, tightened his grip, and with a surge of strength, he lifted Jack's massive body and slammed him into the ground.

"BOOM!"

The bloodstained ground shattered violently, sending countless stone fragments flying.

Jack's colossal, half-elephant body was embedded deep into the earth.

Massive cracks spread across the ground like a spiderweb.

"Lord Jack!"

The Gifters aboard the Mammoth, seeing this scene, drew their weapons and leaped from the ship toward the battlefield.

Jinbe turned coldly, assuming a striking stance with his right fist at his waist.

Even from dozens of meters away, he unleashed a punch.

"Fish-Man Karate! Karakusa Gawara Seiken!"

"BOOM!"

The compressed air in front of him layered upon itself, forming a tsunami-like force that blasted toward the descending Gifters.

"Fighting me and still daring to be distracted, Jinbe? Who gave you such arrogance?!"

From the pit beneath him, Jack pulled out two massive, curved ivory blades and slashed them in a cross pattern.

The blackened edges of the swords gleamed with Armament Haki as they sliced toward Jinbe's back.

In midair, the dozen or so Gifters who had just jumped from the Mammoth were struck by the shockwave, spewing blood as they were blasted down into the lake.

Jinbe, his face steady, spun around just before Jack's blades could strike him, raising both hands to meet the incoming blackened swords.

"Flood Dragon Palm Strike!"

"Clang!"

"Clang!"

The black ivory scimitars clashed against Jinbe's palms, producing crisp metallic echoes as sparks burst from the impact.

Jinbe forcefully separated the two blades, deflecting them to the sides.

His wooden clogs shattered the ground beneath him as he propelled himself upward like a cannonball, driving a powerful punch straight into Jack's chest.

"Fish-Man Karate! Shark Tile Punch!"

Jack's eyes gleamed with malice—he neither dodged nor blocked, allowing Jinbe's fist to crash into his torso.

At the same time, his long elephant trunk, as agile as a serpent, whipped through the air with explosive force, hurtling toward Jinbe.

Gritting his teeth, Jinbe chose not to evade either. His punch drove into Jack's fortress-like chest, causing muscles to cave in and bones to snap.

Jack's mountainous body was sent flying, carving a deep trench into the ground as he plowed through debris.

He only came to a stop after crashing into a towering coral reef, which collapsed with a thunderous roar.

Meanwhile, Jinbe, still standing at the impact site, was struck head-on by Jack's whipping trunk, sending him smashing into the earth beneath him.

"Crack, crack, crack!"

Amidst flying rubble, the two formidable warriors rose almost simultaneously.

Without hesitation, they charged at each other once more!

"Hahahaha! This is exhilarating! Absolutely exhilarating!"

Jack roared with laughter, completely ignoring the deep fist imprint caved into his chest.

He stomped forward like a war beast, shaking the earth with every step.

Wherever he passed, the ground ruptured, causing tremors that felt like an earthquake.

Opposite him, Jinbe's back bore a massive swollen imprint from the earlier trunk strike, and his clothes had been torn apart.

Yet, he paid it no mind. With a forceful stomp, he shot forward like a rocket, unleashing another punch.

"Fish-Man Karate! Five Thousand Tile Punch!"

The devastating punch, strong enough to shatter five thousand tiles at once, created a fierce wind pressure even before making contact. Dust and debris swirled violently, forming a sandstorm-like scene across Fish-Man Street.

Two raging figures, one large and one small, collided like shooting stars in a devastating clash.

"Boom!"

"Crack!"

One of Jack's scimitars snapped in half.

Jinbe's indomitable punch shattered the ivory blade and struck Jack's shoulder with full force.

His massive collarbone visibly caved in and fractured.

Jack's eyes burned red with fury as he swung his remaining scimitar horizontally at Jinbe's neck.

"Armament Haki! Plum Blossom Skin!"

Jinbe remained calm, raising his jet-black left arm to block the strike.

"Clang!"

The scimitar struck his arm, sending sparks flying.

Though he successfully blocked the attack, the sheer force from Jack's swing sent Jinbe hurtling backward.

Spinning five or six times midair, Jinbe suddenly descended, delivering a powerful kick toward Jack's face.

"Seven Thousand Tile! Spinning Kick!"

His wooden clog shattered upon impact, and his jet-black foot slammed into Jack's elephantine face, snapping off one of his pristine white tusks.

Jack gritted his teeth, letting out a muffled grunt as his massive body was sent flying backward.
