Chapter 330: The Second Wedding

A week later, everyone in Konoha was excited for the grand event.

Naruto Uzumaki was getting married again, this time it was with the Hokage's assistant and heir of the Yamanaka clan.

A wedding venue was prepared in the large area surrounding the Hokage's building, allowing hundreds of people to attend and watch the proceedings, while many others watched from the top of the nearest buildings.

People were murmuring, commenting about the wedding.

Normally, in the Country of Fire, a man could only have one wife, but Naruto had been given an exception to that rule by the Daimyo himself.

This came along with some strange rumors about Naruto defeating the royal army and destroying the palace.

Not many believed that Naruto would do something like that until they heard that the Daimyo himself was officiating the wedding.

"It's really him!"

"Look! It's the Daimyo!"

People began to point as the old man arrived with two armed guards at his side.

Naruto was standing on one side of the avenue, waiting for the arrival of the bride while Kakashi stood at his side.

"I can't believe you attacked the Daimyo… what were you thinking?" Kakashi whispered.

"I did not attack him… just threatened him a little bit." Naruto responded.

"The royal palace is in shambles, and there is a massive depression in the shape of a hand, right next to the capital. How did you even do that?"

"The palm thing? I just created a projection of chakra in the shape of a palm. I carefully made it the same size as the capital to drive the message of… you know." Naruto said.

Kakashi raised an eyebrow. "I hope that was an empty threat, and you wouldn't actually destroy an entire city for something like this."

"Of course it was an empty threat. I'm not a monster, you know? No matter what people say of them." Naruto answered. "The important part is that he believed me."

"To be fair, the inhabitants of Konoha love you to the point of worship. I mean, have you seen the statues they had made? Now, outside Konoha, it is a different story… especially in the Cloud and Stone countries. Can't blame them though."

"There she is." Naruto spotted Ino walking into the venue along with her father.

"Yes, you are about to become the envy of every man in the country. Being married to those two beauties." Kakashi said.

As they were walking past the large crowd of people, Naruto spotted Hinata and his daughter standing close to the center, with the rest of the Hyuga clan nearby.

Himawari called for him, and when he got closer, Hinata gave him a warm hug and whispered in his ear. "Thank you for doing this for her. I know she wanted this too."

Naruto nodded. "I know." This type of ceremony held little importance for him, but he could tell that this was something she wanted.

"I'll see you both soon."

He then made his way to the center, where the Daimyo was waiting to start the ceremony.

When the old man saw Naruto approach, he became visibly terrified.

"L-Lord Naruto… g-greetings."

Naruto nodded. "Greetings."

The idea to officiate the wedding came from the Daimyo himself, who felt that after what happened between them, an apology was not sufficient and decided to not only make an exception in the law for Naruto to get married but also marry them in person.

From Naruto's point of view, the man was only doing this to sleep better at night, instead of wondering if one day he would wake up just to see his city in ruins.

Not that he had planned on doing such a thing.

The bride finally arrived at his side.

Inoichi mouthed a 'good luck' to him, greeted the Daimyo, and moved away.

Naruto glanced at Ino. "You look stunning in that dress."

"I always look stunning." She returned a smug smile.

To be fair, he could not argue with that. She always looked stunning, that was true.

"But thank you." She gave him a warm smile and grasped his hand, bringing it closer to her.

"Is Tsunade still mad?" Naruto whispered to her.

"What do you think?" Ino raised an eyebrow.

Her boss had refused to speak with Naruto after learning what he had done.

"Oh well, she'll get over it eventually. Perhaps we could extend our wedding night for a few extra days."

"That's called a honeymoon…" Ino said. "And it wouldn't be fair, since you never took one with Hinata."

"That's true… Konoha was being invaded and we barely had time to rest after the wedding night."

"Well, maybe the three of us could make another trip together. Like the one we did to the hot springs, which was also interrupt—" Ino said.

"Ehem…" The Daimyo cleared his throat to get their attention. "May we begin? The audience is getting anxious." Especially himself.

"Sorry, My Lord. Yes, please." Ino responded, looking a bit ashamed to have been ignoring the man.

The rest of the wedding went just the same way as the one he had with Hinata.

A short speech, followed by them saying "I do," then a short kiss and everyone began to celebrate.

After the ceremony, the banquet was hosted at Chouji's new restaurant. But it was only for the immediate family and closest friends of the couple.

Ino was grinning the entire time. She looked so happy.

"Naruto."

He glanced to his side and spotted Inoichi as he sat next to him and handed him a drink.

"Thanks. Should I be calling you father now? Is that the tradition? I asked Hiashi previously, although he didn't like the idea."

Inoichi shrugged. "Ninja weddings are usually a lot less formal than this. Mine surely was, so… call me whatever you want."

Naruto nodded. "Inoichi then." He would rather stick to only the most necessary mannerisms.

"And… I should be the one who thanks you." Inoichi said.

"How so?"

"I know you went through a lot of trouble to alter the law so you could marry my daughter. I know this made her happy, and I appreciate that."

"It wasn't that much trouble."

"Maybe not for you, but… it was definitely for Lady Tsunade." Inoichi chuckled. The woman had been so stressed for the last week that she had been drinking twice her usual amount of sake.

"Anyways…" Inoichi continued. "I hope you two are happy."

Naruto glanced at his two wives talking very animatedly with each other. "I'm sure we will."
