Potential!
For any god, potential is an incredibly important aspect. Persephone originally wasn't meant to have such extraordinary potential. However, due to Hades breaking free from certain constraints of fate, Persephone also underwent a transformation and became different.
This is something that cannot be fully described in words. In short, it is a good thing. This is no joke, but rather a solid fact. From any perspective, Persephone's elevation is undeniably a good thing, isn't it?
Hades looked at Persephone and calmly asked, "Are you ready?"
Persephone paused briefly and then responded seriously, "My lord, I have made the initial preparations. I plan to take action in three million years, leading the 72 demon gods under the leadership of the Four Supreme Pillars."
Hades replied quietly, "Very well."
To Hades, since his wife, the Queen of the Underworld, wished to attempt something, then so be it—let her try. As for what kind of price might need to be paid?
Well…
In Hades' eyes, such matters were not worth mentioning. Or rather, they didn't seem to matter much. There was no need to concern oneself too deeply over them.
Failure?
Success?
As always, success was unlikely. From any angle, there was no hope of true success. Failure, on the other hand, was inevitable. Because of this, since failure was certain, Hades remained calm. After all, even in failure, there is progress to be made. This is what matters most.
In addition to this, Hades felt that if Persephone wanted to try, she should go ahead. Even if she failed, what harm could come of it?
In simple terms, even if she failed, from any perspective, it didn't matter. This was the core issue—the fundamental problem at hand.
This was what made Hades so calm.
Erebus and Nyx, the Ancient God couple, watched the casual conversation between the King and Queen of the Underworld and pondered for a moment.
Then, Nyx gently asked, "Persephone, are you planning to explore that place?"
"Yes," Persephone nodded. "That is indeed my plan. That place, which originally comes from both you, Nyx, and Erebus—do you know what lies within?"
Persephone asked softly, while Nyx thought for a moment, nodding and then shaking her head.
Some matters, after careful consideration, were difficult to explain. Nyx spoke softly, "There are some things that are hard to say. I know a bit about that place, but not much. Truthfully, we could only explore its basics. Going deeper, to more profound levels, is nearly impossible."
"…"
Persephone wasn't surprised by Nyx's answer. After all, Erebus and Nyx, as Ancient Gods, had obtained certain divine artifacts, but how exactly they acquired them was hard to say.
What was certain, though, was that this Ancient God couple only knew a fraction of what was within. This was normal. After all, despite being nearly invincible within the Mythical World, Ancient Gods still faced significant limitations.
This isn't strange. In any Mythical World, whether it's gods being born or humans being created, any form of life is only permitted to exist if it serves a purpose. If you serve no purpose, why would the world allow you to exist?
Clearly!
A bit of thought makes this very clear. As for how Erebus and Nyx obtained their divine artifact, that's hard to say. But what is certain is that there are many interesting hidden aspects.
However, since they didn't want to reveal everything, there was no point in prying. Another point is that Erebus and Nyx were unable to explore deeper into the artifact. This, too, was completely normal, and not surprising at all.
"Persephone," Nyx spoke softly, "if you plan to attempt this, from what angle do you intend to approach it?"
"I haven't decided yet," Persephone said with a slight shake of her head. "The timing is still uncertain. I can't determine the exact moment, and that is the most crucial point."
Persephone's words made Nyx pause and think, and she nodded in agreement. Indeed, this was an undeniable fact, not something to be taken lightly.
After all!
The flow of time is not consistent. It's similar to the Greek pantheon's Mythical World, which is still in a stage of rapid development, having just recently come into existence.
As for the Mythical World Mephisto originally resided in? That world, simply put, had already collapsed or been destroyed. That's why Mephisto, with his Contract Hell, was drifting through the Sea of Chaos, eventually being captured by the Demon Star and arriving here.
But no matter how you look at it, one thing is clear: danger is inevitable.
Erebus thought for a moment and said, "If we view this from that perspective, there are still many problems. These issues need to be addressed; otherwise, there will certainly be complications."
Erebus considered the situation comprehensively. Was Persephone's preparation thorough enough? Fairly so. But even with such preparations, problems could still arise.
From any angle, it seemed as though things weren't entirely suitable. If they weren't handled properly, everything could turn into a problem. This absolutely needed to be managed with care.
Persephone nodded slightly and said softly, "I am aware of that. I will make all the necessary preparations."
