Emrys stood there in silence while his eyes were fixed on the blue stone block. The old man beside him remained quiet too, as if waiting for something. After a short while, the old man turned to him and said in a calm but serious voice, "Young man, you should also kowtow before the founder's relic as well. It is our tradition. All who enter this temple must do so."
Hearing this, Emrys didn't respond right away. Instead, he chuckled softly. There was no humor in that chuckle, it was just cold. He turned his gaze toward the old man and stared at him for a few seconds, as if trying to understand if the old man was truly serious. Then, without a word, he shifted his eyes back to the stone block.
No matter how he looked at it, he could tell this stone block was just a coffin. The runes engraved on it were all meant for preservation. Something or someone was sealed inside.
But who?
