Emperor Peter finished speaking, and Katerina's mother nodded. She stepped forward to stand beside her husband and said to Katerina: "You must lead the nation forward, keep your eyes ahead and your steps steady. Occasionally, glance at those around you. If you truly feel exhausted, take a moment to rest, and continue onward the next day."
"Did he tell you to say that to me?" Katerina suddenly asked.
"The living cannot stay in the Land of Death for too long. Twice a month, one hour each time, otherwise it will harm your body. He's just concerned for you."
"I don't need his concern! Do I not even have the freedom to visit my parents?!"
Katerina shouted hysterically. Emperor Peter and the other two watched her silently, offering no words of solace.
Some people need reminders when they face problems. Others don't—they figure things out on their own.
