With some help from Seiten, I managed to stand up. I grimaced while standing up because of the pain from the wound I had gotten before. Seiten made me put one of my hand on his sholder to support me as we started moving towards a specific direction.
One by one, the trees passed by as we walked in silence. I don't know what's up with Seiten being this silent but I also didn't want to talk at this time so I just kept looking down as we walked.
My mind felt empty to me but that was just a hallucination because from time to time, an image of me being stabbed in the back kept coming into my head. I don't know how I feel after being stabbed, whether I should be angry or just regretful at not being able to do anything other then just getting stabbed but I do know that I do not want to get stabbed again. It f*cking hurts!
Soon we reached at a place from where I could see Sensei and Mio. We were still quite far away from them but Sensei and Mio were at least in a visible distance now.
As I looked, I noticed that Mio was leaning against a tree as Sensei bandaged her. If I remembered correctly, that guy that stabbed me was fighting Mio. It looks like he was a hard opponent. We soon reached at the location Sensei and Mio were at.
"How is she Sensei?" I asked looking at Sensei.
"I am fine. Thanks for asking." Mio replied as she opened her eyes.
"Oh you were awake..."
"Okay now, get off me first and then start chit-chating!" Seiten said.
I looked at him with an expression that said, 'Seiten, you meanii!!' but seiten just frowned and said.
"Don't give me that. You are pushing your entire weight on me and you are heavy, you know! Besides, I am also injured." Seiten said making me realize that I was putting my entire weight on him. if I put any weight or pressure on my wound it would hurt, so I unknowingly put all my weight on Seiten.
" Ah! Sorry about that... " I said as Seiten gently made me sit against a tree and then set near me as well.
"Are you both okay?" Sensei asked looking at me and Seiten.
"Yeah, we are fine. Just a few minor injuries."
"Same here."
"Good. Then we will stay at this place for 30 more minutes. After that Seiten will recover enough of his chakra to heal us and we will move to a different place to either rest or plan for our next action."
As per the rules created by Tsunade senju, every four man team had to have at least one medical ninja among them that could at least do iryo ninjutsu. Seiten was the one who learnt iryo ninjutsu in our team. Though he only had a passing grade in it since he was really not that talented in that aspect. But he can still heal us so that was good enough.
As we all sat there in silence, all of us were on high alert. We knew that our enemies most likely knew our position, if there were any enemy around, we had to be on alert for them. This place that we are resting right now is not the safest place to rest but we have no other choice but to rest here since all of us are injured.
For some reason, the half hour long wait felt like an hour long but this long wait passed and Seiten started treating us. He first treated Mio then himself then he treated me and after that sensei. Of course, he did not completely heal us but only made sure that our wound will not open when we are running around. He did that because he didnt have too much chakra on him. But after we all were somewhat healed we started moving again. After almost an hour of running, we stopped in the middle of a clearing.
"We will rest here for now." Sensei said.
As he said it, I felt something in his voice that felt off. Its not like his voice changed or anything but the way he said it felt weird. It looks like Seiten and Mio also noticed that something was off in his voice but we all decided to remain silent for now.
Soon night arrived and we made a campfire as we decided to stay the night here. We decided that each of us will be on night watch duty for only around 2 hours. Meaning we all will get only 6 hours of sleep but I didnt complain since nobody else was complaining. The first person who will remain awake will be Sensei followed by me, Mio and then Seiten.
I walked close to a tree and sat there while leaning on to it. I looked around to find that Seiten was sleeping on a tree branch while Mio had chosen to sleep on the ground leaning on a tree just like me.
I closed my eyes as I tried to relaxe my tired body. Soon I found my consciousness drifting away.
*Thud*
After who knows how long, I opened my eyes hearing a noise of something hitting the ground. I looked to see what it was to find someone laying on the ground a bit further away from me.
I jumped to my feet as I rushed towards that person. I soon reached where that person was laying to find that that person was Seiten. He was laying there as rudded his shoulder painfully.
'Did he fell from the tree?' That was the first thought that came to my mind because I knew that I would definitely fall down the tree if I slept on it like he did.
Pushing my useless thoughts away, I crouched down to check up on Seiten to find him looking at me with the same pained expression.
"What happened?" I asked. He just kept looking at me for some time before he spoke.
"Sensei was not sensei."
"What?" I didn't know what he was saying. What did he mean, sensei is not sensei? Did he hit his head when he fell down?
"What happened?" Mio also appeared next to me as she asked.
"It looks like he hit his head." I said to Mio.
"I didn't! idiot!" Seiten spoke as he pushed himself into a sitting position.
"What do you mean?" Mio asked eying him keenly.
"I don't have time to explain. Let's move or else he will get away." Seiten spoke as he stood up and started sprinting towards the forest.
Mio and I looked at each other for a second before sprinting behind him. We soon left the clearing where we had setted our camp and started tree hopping.
" Mio, can you check if someone is around us?" Seiten spoke suddenly.
"on it!" Mio replied. Mio was the sensor of our team. She could sense around 700-800 meters around us currently. Mio used her sensing ability as a shocked look appeared on her face.
"Wait! Are we tailing Sensei? I can sense his chakra in the distance." Mio asked looking at Seiten.
"Yes, but he is not our Sensei. He is an imposter. He attacked me in my sleep and took the envelop that we had to deliver."
Previously, after leaving the noble's house, Sensei had given the envelope to Seiten because the enemy would definitely suspect sensei to have it and so it would be more safe with seiten.
"Then, Where is the real sensei?"
"...Somewhere safe, I hope." Seiten spoke as we all speeded up again.
A few minutes later.-
"Seiten! Sensei's imposter stopped and there are more people where he is at now." Mio spoke.
"How many people are there?"
"I don't know for sure, It looks like they have taken measures to block sensors from spying." Mio replied with a frown.
"It must be some kind of seals..."
"...What should we do?"
"...Let's get a bit more closer then we will plan our next course of action."
