Synopsis
‏I was reborn into a world where the natural elements combine both beauty and death at the same time. I now live amidst fierce storms and intense heat that can wipe out entire communities. It is a universe divided into an inner and outer universe, unforgiving, where the common cold can be deadly. Here, survival is a right only for the strong. **In this harsh world, humans do not occupy the top of the food chain. The sounds of predators echo in the wilderness, and the threat of hunting lurks around every corner. But I am not afraid. Why should I be afraid? I am a crimson red dragon, living deep within a dense forest, far from any threat. Yes, I am serious — I am a crimson red dragon, and this forest is my kingdom.** {“I will be posting this story on RoyalRoad.com”}

Chapter One: Rebirth of the Crimson Hatchling

In the heart of a mythical, perilous forest—teeming with dangers and fearsome beasts—our protagonist is reborn… not as a human, but as a small crimson dragon carrying the memories of a former life.

From the very moment of hatching, his journey into the unknown begins. He explores his newfound strength and struggles to survive in a world that shows no mercy to the weak.

But he is not alone… for another egg lies nearby, and great secrets await among the trees and shadows.

Will he become just another young dragon?

Or is a far greater destiny waiting for him—one forged in the flames of the past and the mystery of the present?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There was a pleasant and warm feeling surrounding me, reminding me of my mother's gentle touch.
My eyes were closed, and I couldn't open them, and my limbs felt strange to me.
Suddenly, that gentle feeling of drowsiness turned into intense discomfort.
I struggled to move my hands, but it felt as if something was holding me back.
The discomfort was so intense that I began to fight to move my limbs.
Where was I? What was happening? I had no idea.
With these thoughts racing through my mind, I started to try and move.
It felt like there was a spherical pressure surrounding me from every direction.
Slowly… but steadily, I felt the walls around me begin to crack and soften as I struggled to push against them.
Crack… Crack…
I was close… I felt it!
With a strong push, the sphere collapsed, and bright light filtered into my eyes, causing me to scream in astonishment.
Roar… Roar.
When I suddenly heard it, no human sound came from my mouth, but it sounded like a small beast's roar.
My eyes were searching for the spherical object I had emerged from, and to my astonishment, it was a large red egg, almost the size of an adult man.
My heart began to pound violently, almost as if it would explode.
I couldn't bear it any longer.
I began to examine myself.
Well… I have wings, claws, and red scales.
I'm standing on four legs.
After checking my mouth, I confirmed that I only had a strong fang.
Well… it seems I've become a small, cute red dragon.
Are you wondering how I knew I was a male?
The first thing I checked was my "spear," and I made sure it was still in good condition.
Well… it was covered with red dragon scales, and it seemed to be about 20 inches long.
It was longer than it had been when I was human.
I guess this… is its size now while I'm still a baby, so how big will it be once I reach adulthood?
Where am I?
I was so preoccupied with my new body that I didn't pay attention to my surroundings.
Well, it seems like I'm in the middle of a dense forest, and there's another egg similar to mine that hasn't hatched yet.
It seems like it's my brother or sister.
How did you know it was my brother or sister?
For me, I relied on the color of the egg's shell, as it was the same color as the shell I had emerged from.
There was a sense of familiarity and closeness, and only one thought filled my mind.
It's a dragon that hasn't hatched yet, and we share the same mother and father.
Well, after that feeling, I no longer had any doubt that it was my brother or sister.
It seems we were dropped from the sky in a savage way, and the one responsible for it never thought about the possibility of the egg breaking or the embryo dying before hatching due to the fall from a great height.
Well, there's no point in thinking about that now.
When I looked at the egg I had emerged from, a strange desire filled me to eat it and drink the pure yellow water inside. I couldn't stop myself. I began eating the shell… it was so delicious, crunchy and appetizing.
The important thing is that my stomach is now full and swollen, and all I need is rest and to digest what I've eaten. However, staying here unprotected, without a home or shelter, is extremely dangerous.
After thinking carefully about the gravity of the situation, I pulled myself together and overcame the drowsiness that was beginning to overcome me.
I raised my head and looked around thoughtfully. The forest I had landed in was truly fantastical… the trees were towering to an unimaginable height, their branches touching the clouds, and their trunks wider than an entire human house.
Their leaves glowed with colors I had never seen in any forest before; sky blue, emerald green, and even dark purple leaves shimmered as if they were covered in stardust.
The air here was saturated with a strange earthy scent, carrying a taste of magic, and the light filtering through the leaves was tinged with gold, as if the sun here was not an ordinary sun.
However… this beauty didn't signify safety.
A distant roar tore through the silence. Then, it was followed by a prolonged howl from a creature I couldn't identify. I felt a chill run through my scales, and my instincts told me that I wasn't alone here.
There were monsters sneaking between the trees, massive feet leaving deep marks in the damp soil, and eyes gleaming between the shadows, watching, lurking, waiting for any reckless movement.
I realized then that this forest was unforgiving. It was a place for the strongest to survive. And in my current state… I was just a baby dragon that had just hatched from an egg.
My first step is to find an abandoned cave on the edge of this dense forest. I'm not strong enough to face the lurking dangers within, so it's better for me to stay away from the depths for now.
I began rolling my brother's or sister's egg. I won't leave it there unprotected; no one knows what might happen to it. If I leave it alone, a monster or a human might find it.
The important thing is, if it stays where it is, its fate will undoubtedly be death—or it will become a pet for humans, if it survives at all. Therefore, I took it with me.
I expect my brother or sister to help me after hatching.
Blood is thicker than water, and we are siblings from the same mother and father, so there's no sense in leaving it behind.
Even if we have irresponsible parents, I'm different from them. I still retain memories of my life when I was human, and those human memories compel me to take this egg with me and give it a chance to live. There's no need to leave it…
I entered a cave on the outskirts of the forest after an hour and a half.
Since I started rolling the egg…
Thank God, I didn't face any difficulty while walking here.
It seems I was very lucky.
During my walk, no monster attacked me, and then I found this abandoned cave.
But there's something strange… All the monsters I saw on my way either fled from me or were paralyzed.
Something strange…
Am I really that scary to them? How could they not find me cute? Or is it as mentioned in the novels I read in my previous life?
The stronger the bloodline, the more powerful the aura it emits, causing lower-ranked bloodlines to fear and submit to it.
Well, if that's true, then it works in my favor. This will be a great advantage.
Well, I feel sleepy and can't bear it anymore—I want to fall into a deep sleep.
I won't think about anything else. Anyway, after I wake up, I'll find out what's going on with me. I rolled myself into a circle, then used my wings instead of a blanket. At that moment, I was half-unconscious.
A strange exhaustion overcame me. The last thing I saw before slipping into the embrace of the dark dream world was the egg.
