"Good. Sign the contract. Now."
The paragons hesitated. But each moment they did, Atticus' pressure over them only intensified. Any more, and they would be turning to blood and gore like the last fool. They swallowed hard and signed.
"You will obey every order I give without fail. You will cause no trouble to any council you're on and will only give good input that benefits the planet, never bad. You will never even so much as think of betraying the planet or alliance. You will keep your people in line and make sure none of them ever bullies or spreads rumors.
"For now, that is all. You may leave."
Atticus waved his arm, and every one of them vanished from the hall, leaving only him and Oberon behind.
Oberon approached Atticus with a smile on his face. "You handled that well, Supreme Ruler."
"Let me guess, you thought I was going to kill them."
