"So… why are they still alive?"
Oberon felt the air in his office turn hot.
Atticus was staring straight at him with eyes that were far from calm. He couldn't help but shudder at how easily Atticus spoke of annihilating an entire race of people.
"I—"
"What about their paragons?" Atticus suddenly cut in and asked.
"They…" Oberon trailed off. He knew what he was about to say would only make everything worse. He sighed. He had no choice.
"They've taken every opportunity to challenge your position and discredit your words. It's obvious they don't like you… but they can't do anything about it."
Atticus' expression didn't change. It was as if the situation had nothing to do with him.
"The Dimensari too?"
Oberon nodded. "The Dimensari too."
"So why haven't you done anything about them?"
