"It seems like I've gotten you into trouble." Bell Collins gently touched her aching cheek, her expression gloomy. "Bella Scott came to me today and slapped me twice. I deserved it."
Upon hearing this, Lucas Hutt furrowed his brow, "Bella Scott hit you?"
Bell smiled bitterly, "She had every right to. Even if you and Tina don't have deep feelings for each other, it's still humiliating for her that you came to see me in the middle of the night."
Lucas's heart softened upon hearing this and asked for her address.
Bell pretended to hesitate, but eventually gave her exact location.
When Lucas arrived at the bar, several men with ill intentions surrounded Bell.
He rushed forward, driving the men away.
Upon getting closer, under the light, he saw Bell's slightly swollen face. Though it had been treated, it didn't look too severe.
However, if she was slapped during the day, it meant Bella Scott had been quite harsh.
He felt a bit guilty, "I'm sorry for letting you down."
