Chapter 10 - Bunch of Bastards.

"Xiotan, let's just go. Don't get yourself into trouble," Jinxin pleaded, tugging at her stubborn friend's arm. "If your father finds out about this, he'll kill you!"

"I don't care if he beats me or kills me," Xiotan snapped, planting her feet firmly. Her eyes burned with fury. "What just happened won't go unpunished. He's going to pay for it."

She turned to Li-Cheng with a glare that could melt steel. "Do you have any idea how much that phone cost? Do you know how I suffered to get it? Mtcheew! If you don't pay me the fifty thousand naira I spent, I swear I'll beat the hell out of you."

Li-Cheng scoffed, tilting his head arrogantly as he looked her over. "So you're cheap. Who even uses a fifty-thousand-naira phone in this age? Just get lost and fix it yourself."

"What did you just say?" Xiotan froze, her voice low and dangerous. "You think I'm cheap for using a fifty-thousand phone?" Her eyes widened with rage. "YOU ARE DEAD!"

Before anyone could react, Xiotan launched at him like a wild cat. She yanked his hair with both hands and roared, "You think I'm cheap? I'll show you what cheap looks like!"

She bit down on his neck and smacked his head furiously. The bodyguards lunged forward to restrain her, but she was like a storm—uncontrollable and savage. She slapped one of them across the face, causing him to stumble back in shock.

"Hey! Madam, stop this madness!" one of them shouted, grabbing her arm, but she twisted free and bit him too.

"I'll teach every one of you not to mess with me!" she snarled, clawing, kicking, and slapping anyone who dared come close.

"You crazy girl, get off me! Ah! My back—are you mad?!" Li-Cheng shouted, clutching his side. But all he got in return was a thunderous slap across his cheek.

"Shut your dirty mouth, you bastard!" Xiotan screamed.

Jinxin's eyes widened in panic. She looked around frantically—then she saw it.

"Xiotan!" she whispered urgently. "Your father's car just passed by—he's heading home! What are we going to do?!"

Xiotan froze. "What? My father's car?!" She quickly looked up and scanned the area. The chaos she'd just caused hit her all at once.

"Damn it," she muttered, clenching her fists. She shot one last death-glare at Li-Cheng. "Thank your stars I have to leave now. But next time—next time I'll teach you a full lesson, you bunch of bastards!"

And with that, she slapped Li-Cheng's shoulder mockingly, turned on her heel, and bolted.

"Jinxin, move! Run!" she shouted, and the two girls took off like lightning, leaving behind a stunned entourage.

"Boss…" Da Ming turned to Li-Cheng cautiously. "Should we go after them? Or just—let this go?"

But to their surprise, Li-Cheng chuckled. He raised a hand to his sore cheek, rubbing it gently, eyes still fixed on where the girls had disappeared.

"No, don't bother," he said, a strange glint in his eyes. "There's no need. Just wait—you'll soon see something interesting."

He turned calmly. "Get the car. I'm going home."

Moments later, his sleek vehicle pulled up. Without another word, Li-Cheng stepped in, his guards falling in line behind him as they disappeared down the path.

And just like that, the chaos faded—but the memory? It had just begun to settle.
