Chapter 16 - I'M A DEVIL

In a dimly lit room, a man was bound to a chair with a covered face. The sound of a clicking object echoed in the space.

"Show me his face," Li Cheng commanded. Da Ming swiftly complied, removing the cover and turning on the light.

The man, initially blinded by the darkness, squinted and then grinned upon seeing his captor. "I knew it would be you. You've got guts, haha."

"You can still laugh?" Li Cheng asked coldly.

"What else should I do? Cry because I'm captured by you? Never!" The man laughed defiantly.

"Let's see if you're still laughing later. After all these years, you haven't changed a bit. I thought you might have, but I was wrong."

"You foolish boy. What can you do? Even your father can't do anything to me."

"That's because he's a fool. I'm not like him. Have you forgotten I promised to kill you? You thought I was joking, but you were wrong. Today will be your end."

"Your threats are just child's play. Get ready, because soon you'll be in jail. When they find you, you'll be finished. Even your father won't be able to help you."

"Keep dreaming. Let me enlighten you. We're not on land. We're in the middle of the sea, and nobody knows where you are. I'm going to kill you, chop you up, and feed you to the fish. No, I won't kill you first; I'll chop you alive and then feed you to the fish."

The man's eyes widened in fear. "Are you scared now? Where's the bravado?"

"You must be joking. Think of what will happen when people find out you killed me."

"It's impossible. Even the birds don't know. You think you're smart, but you're mistaken. I'm smarter than you. You harassed my mom fifteen years ago, right in front of me, and you think I'll spare you? You slept with her and threatened to kill me if I told anyone. Maybe my father was the one who even sent you to do it I don't even know. I'll deal with him later. That trauma has haunted my mom for years she even wanted to kill herself, and you think I'll forgive you? Never."

"Think this through. Don't do this for your own good."

"My own good?" Li Cheng roared as he struck the man's face with a wrench, causing a deep cut.

"Do you think I'm joking? It seems you don't know who I am. I'm a devil when I need to be, and I don't spare anyone. This talk isn't a joke. ARE YOU MAD?" He hit the man in the same spot again, causing a scream of pain.

"You think you can boss me around like you did fifteen years ago? Things have changed. I'm the one in control now. Today, I'll show you the real definition of power."

"Li Cheng, please—don't do this," the man pleaded, his face covered in blood, realizing his pleas were futile.

Li Cheng remained unyielding, showing no mercy as the man's begging fell on deaf ears.
