The only thing that gave Zeph any peace of mind as he poofed himself away from Tom's Heavenly location was that a flood of soul escort task notifications didn't immediately go off in his mind following the V-mail from Siael. It didn't give him much comfort as they could have been assigned to others, or their survival was still not determined.
The contact alert was still sounding on the bridge with yellow alert status lights beginning to pulse in rhythm with the audible alert as Zeph manifested on the bridge of the Quantum Wings of the Abyss. While he reflexively hid his "borrowed" halos as he became tangible, Zeph didn't bother hiding his wings.
Anyone crazy enough to break his standing orders regarding access to the bridge would receive the fright of their lives as Zeph looked just as terrifying if not more so than Samyaza's true appearance. It would serve them right and he would deal with them at a more convenient time if they didn't already know about that part of him.
