Chapter 56 - CHAPTER 55

At the young girls' question, Trinity thought of the many dragons who were born in the castle and died in the castle. She knew she had to do something and introduce the outside world to these youngsters, so that they know what life is like outside, but at the same time she had to think of a rule to put in place so that these dragons don't show themselves to humans, as that might endanger all of them.

"What's your name?" Trinity asked the girl, while still contemplating her question.

"I'm Sarafina."

"Well Sarafina, can I get back to you on that? I have to make some necessary arrangements, as well as rules on what you can and can't do outside. I can't risk humans finding out about our existence!"

"Yes, dra... I mean Trinity."

Trinity smiled, knowing that she won't have to hear Dragon Lady all the time and that people were getting comfortable calling her by her name.

"Does anyone else have anything to say or ask?" Trinity asked, looking around. When no one said anything, she continued, "since no one has anything to say or ask, I believe this meeting is now over. Just a reminder to all parents, kindergarten is opening from eight in the morning. Please make sure to sent the baby dragons so they may learn something."

As the crowd dispersed, Dorin went to her daughter, who was deep in thought, and asked, "Rin? Are you alright?"

"Yeah mom, it's just... I don't know what to do," the girl replied.

"Let's get you to your room, then we can talk."

Trinity nodded, as she followed her mother to her room. Dorin's room was next to Trinity's, in case she needed her.

As Trinity entered her room, she felt a wave of nostalgia wash over her. Everything was as they had left it; the room was filled with her mates scent. There was even some of his soap and shampoo left in the bathroom. Tyrone had also used a towel which wasn't washed, and his bed and clothes still had most of his smell on them. Trinity felt like he was just beside her.

Trinity sat on the bed, as Dorin made some hot chocolate, which she had bought from home. It was almost seven, and dinner would be available soon.

"What's wrong honey?" Dorin asked, as she sat by her daughter, handing her the cup.

"A lot is happening all at once. I don't know how to handle everything. I just... I just feel so alone without him," Trinity broke down into tears. "He always knew what I needed. He always protected me... and.... and gave me the best advice. I just feel so... so... lost without him, mom; I need him now more then ever. Why did this happen to me mom? Why?" By now Trinity was in her mother's arms crying her eyes out.

"Sweetheart... the strongest of people get the toughest of tests," Dorin said, trying to console her only daughter. She couldn't see her break like this. Dorin's eyes were also filled with tears.

"Ty always knew that you were strong enough to handle any challenges life throws at you. He trusted you; he's definitely watching you right now, and it'll hurt him to see you break like this. If not him, think of the life you're carrying within you."

This last line made Trinity calm down, just enough to take a sip of her hot chocolate.

A knock at the door made Trinity quickly wipe away her tears. "Who's there?"

"Trin, it's me, Em. Dinner is ready," came the reply.

"Okay. Thanks."

"Are you OK? You sound like you've been..." Emeralda said, as she pushed the door open. "Oh My Gosh, Trin, what... you miss him, right?"

"Yes, Em. I miss him so much it hurts," the tears ran in streams once again. "I desperately need him. I want him in my arms... I don't know what to do," Trinity sobbed.

"I understand your pain, trust me," the pale girl said, sitting by Trinity's side. "The moment I heard about Jack... I felt something in me break... it felt like the end of the world. I began blaming everyone; I even blamed your mother!" She looked toward Dorin apologetically. "But you know what, I stood and walked, not because I forgot my brother, but because he is alive inside me."

"Em, there's something I want to tell you," Trinity said, as she remembered Tyrone's message.

"What is it?"

"It's Ty's last message for you," Trinity said, and watched as Emeralda's concern turned into curiosity. "There's a reason Jack left us."

"What do you mean?" Esmarald asked, now a little hint of anger laced her voice.

"I found a hand written letter from Ty, in which he said that the reason Jack passed is because you have a mate out there, and it's time for you two to meet..."

"Look Trin, that's ridiculous..." "And I'm pregnant!" This revelation left Emeralda speechless. She looked at Trinity, then at Dorin to see if it was a prank.

"What?"

Without saying a word, Trinity took out the letter, which she always kept with her, and handed it to the stunned girl.

"I don't believe it... " a long silence followed.

A knock at the door finally broke the silence. Standing there was Stacey and Martha, with some plates and dishes.

"I figured that you didn't feel like coming down for dinner, so we'd get some for you in your room," Martha said as they both entered the room.

"Thank you so much, Martha," Dorin said, as she helped set the coffee table that was near the couch. Emeralda quickly slipped the letter back to Trinity.

"Have you two eaten?" Dorin asked the older lady and the young girl.

"Actually, we haven't. We waited for you and when Em also disappeared, we figured that something must be wrong, so decided to bring everything here," Martha replied, looking at Emeralda.

"I'm sorry, I came up here, and we started talking. We didn't know when we lost track of time."

Dorin took a plate and began filling it up with chicken wings and fries. There was some salad, mayonnaise and ketchup too.

She handed Trinity the plate but before she could say anything, she ran to the restroom, and began throwing up.
