A time span of 13 years has gone bye it has been a bumpy road for Lord Bayern. His wife was concerned about her son not making contact with other children his age.
Lucius didn't even bond with his sisters or his mother. Coming up with a convenient lie of "I have tasked him with observing various nobles as to find there motives and determine if they may cause issues with our family. It is for this the is not eager to make contact my dear." Rubbing an glass ball over his fingers.
In his head he was tearing himself apart 'I am sorry honey but this is for the better good of our family' he thought not showing any emotion on the outside. Sitting in his office with the an undefeatable enemy paperwork.
'I can't wait to dump this off on Melinda in a few years I will never have to look a you again' he thought glaring at the stacks of paper.
Knocking on the door got his attention of the paper. "Enter" he said simply having to lean back in the chair getting the aches out of his back 'I'm getting to old for this shit'.
His head Butler Yorick who has served since he was a child didn't usually come unless there was a important matter that required his attention.
"What is it old friend" though he was all about status and knowing ones place Yorick was an exception having practically raised him do his father having no time for him, his mother died causing his father to become distance.
'I will not make the same mistake with my kids' he thought resentfully seeing that memory in his head.
"My lord it has come to my attention that a gang of rouges are messing with our trade routes with our allies the Barclay's."
Lord Bayern narrowed his eyes at this thinking 'whoever is doing this must wish for death no one messes with our trade and walks away unharmed' Pondering on what to do.
Then it hit him 'Lucius must learn how to deal with situations first hand.' "Get Lucius tell him it's urgent" having turned around in his chair looking out the window.
Lucius was in the training yard using his ability jumping for tree to tree with targets in all shapes and sizes at different angles. One of the targets fired some arrows at him moving his head to the right his hair just avoided being cut by a few inches, narrowing his eyes Lucius flipped while dodging projectiles from multiple angles. Landing and forming a few balls of energy around himself he jumped in the air tuning upside down while destroying every target and falling silently to the ground.
Hearing clapping "That was most impressive young master" the old butler stated entering the training ground. 'I never can sense this old man coming.' Lucius didn't think about it to much "Your father has a important matter to discuss with you come along" the butler said walking with Lucius not far behind him.
Lucius was a person who spoke when spoken too. So he never really made friends his age do to this, not that this bothered him anyway Reaching his father's office he opened the door walking inside awaiting his orders.
"Son I have a problem I need taken care of" Lucius knew that means someone is going to die. "Where is the target I wish end this as fast as possible and return to training"Lucius asked his only concern was getting stronger.
"There is a gang of rouges harassing out trade routes with the Barclay's you are to eliminate them while guarding our suppliers with a small number of men under your command you leave in 2 hours dismissed"
The time had come outside of the 35 foot gates that guarded their mansion was the suppliers and the other hand picked soldiers who would help him give orders. Leaving the gate the men saw him and lowered there heads.
"Young master we are at your service" showing they were loyal to his father. Lucius found the commanding officer rather easily. Identified by his family crest a golden Griffin.
"Young master I am Luke the commanding officer of this guard." Down on one knee before him.
"Rise my loyal knight we depart now I will be heading this operation" Lucius gesture his hand up making the knights rise.
"Fall into formation men!" Luke barking orders. The gates were opened clearing a pathway and off they were.
