Chen Yaodong stood under the eaves, listening to the conversation above his head while he patiently waited.
Currently, he was under the eaves, and his adversary was on the rooftop. It was a two-story building, separated by two floors; he couldn't see the other party and they were unaware of his presence.
Now wasn't the time to strike.
If Chen Yaodong struck, he'd have to expose himself to the other's line of sight.
There had been a gunshot earlier, and the policewoman in front of him had no gun in her hands. That gun had most likely fallen into the hands of the fleeing criminal. Going out now would probably turn him into a target.
He didn't want to take that risk.
His current strength wasn't enough to ignore a handgun.
All he needed to do was wait here; if the other party came down, he could knock them out with one punch. This way was safe and risk-free.
