The Age of Beasts Has Come
The kingdoms of men are broken, their banners torn, their proud castles reduced to smoldering ruins. Civilization has collapsed into ruin beneath a tide of monsters, and the world that once belonged to humanity now writhes in the grip of a new, savage age.
From the depths of the oceans rise the Mireborn—hideous, salt-encrusted mermen with gaping maws and spined tridents. They drag screaming villagers into the surf and build barnacle-covered altars from shipwrecks and bones. Whole coastal realms were the first to fall, swallowed by rising tides and the songless, gurgling chants of the deep.
Out of the wild heart of the forest march the Beastmen—twisted hybrids of man and animal, driven by a primal hatred for all things human. Clad in hide and bone, they charge in frenzied warbands to burn villages, shatter towns, and gorge themselves on the dead. They seek no gold, no land—only the complete erasure of man’s mark on the world.
Across the endless plains, Orcish hordes thunder forward on tusked beasts and crude iron chariots, following war-chiefs crowned with skulls. They come not in conquest, but in revelry, for to them, war is holy. Cities fall beneath their stampede, their stone walls crushed and their towers set ablaze.
Beneath the very feet of humanity, the Ratmen rise. Swarming from ancient tunnels and collapsed sewers, they pour forth in diseased floods, carrying plague, fire, and madness. They do not speak, they screech—and where they pass, rot and ruin follow.
From the towering mountains, the Giants and Ogres descend in famine-fueled hunger. They crack the earth with every step, uproot trees like twigs, and devour livestock, men, and stone alike. Nothing grows where their shadows fall, only ash and shattered bone.
And amid this monstrous cacophony, the last scraps of mankind survive like vermin. The grand cities of the past are now little more than hollow shells, home to scavenger-tribes, broken lords, and fading clerics clinging to forgotten gods. Behind rusted gates and shattered windows, the last humans tremble, hoard, and feed on the dead.
The world no longer belongs to man.
In this new age witness the rise of the Carrion King.
