🔥 Chapter 2 – Part 2: The Kyūbi Attack
“And the sky opened onto hell.”
Everything was moving too fast.
Kushina hadn’t even had time to catch her breath.
Her chakra, drained from childbirth, floated around her like a torn veil.
Minato was monitoring the barriers.
He had detected some irregularities in the outer seals, but nothing conclusive.
And me…
I felt the breach.
Something was coming.
Something ancient. Twisted.
A hateful presence.
Warped by the past.
Shaped by pain.
Obito.
I recognized his signature.
I had never encountered his chakra before, but… I knew it.
As if my body had anticipated him.
As if the world itself had prepared for this confrontation.
And then… he came.
A flash.
A vibration.
And he was there.
A man in a black cloak. An orange mask.
A single Sharingan burning in the dark.
Time seemed to freeze.
He placed a hand on the nearest ANBU.
The ninja vanished in a black spiral.
No sound.
No scream.
Just… erased.
Minato leapt toward Kushina, defense seals already in hand.
— "Who are you?!"
Obito didn’t answer.
He simply appeared beside the bed.
Kushina screamed.
I was torn from her arms by a supernatural force.
My fragile body screamed in silence.
But I remained conscious.
And I saw, through my newborn eyes, the man who wanted to kill me.
Obito pointed a kunai at my throat.
Minato didn’t hesitate.
In a yellow flash, he teleported between us.
A shockwave.
Lightning.
An explosion of energy.
I was thrown.
Kushina screamed.
The ground split.
The room collapsed.
Minato reacted with incredible speed.
He caught me, teleported out of the room,
and launched us through a barrier seal.
We landed in a forest.
The night was dark.
But not silent.
In the distance, screams.
The village.
Something was already attacking the village...
— "Kushina..." Minato murmured. "He went back for her."
He looked down at me in his arms.
And for the first time…
I saw fear in his eyes.
Not the fear of death.
Not the fear of failure.
The fear of losing everything he loved.
I felt the explosion before I saw it.
A roar.
Not human.
An ancient scream, primal.
And the earth shook.
Mountains trembled.
Birds scattered.
The sky seemed to burn.
Minato clutched me tighter.
— "He did it... He released it..."
He teleported.
And I saw.
Kyūbi.
The Nine-Tailed Demon Fox.
Nine tails like mountains.
A chakra so dense it distorted the very air around it.
He was there.
In the heart of Konoha.
And he was destroying everything.
Houses exploded.
Ninjas screamed.
Children fled.
Elders fell to their knees.
Kyūbi struck.
He roared.
He exhaled waves of pure destruction.
He was not an animal.
He was a force.
A living hurricane.
And me…
I felt his pain.
I recognized it.
Kyūbi was not free.
He was controlled. Twisted. Torn.
His chakra screamed for vengeance.
Minato appeared atop a building.
He placed me inside a protective seal, summoned a clone,
and rushed toward the battlefield.
I had never seen a fight move so fast.
Minato versus Obito.
Flashes.
Distortions.
Seals.
Marked kunai.
Obito was nearly untouchable.
Minato was light incarnate.
They fought above the village.
Each impact made the earth tremble.
But Minato understood.
He placed a seal on Obito.
Teleported behind him.
And struck him straight through the chest.
Obito vanished.
But Kyūbi remained.
Minato returned.
He was wounded.
Breathless.
But alive.
He took me back into his arms.
— "We have to seal him... Kushina is still alive... we can do this."
He wasn’t speaking to me.
But I listened.
I understood.
He was going to sacrifice himself.
So was she.
And I was going to… live.
Alone.
But no.
Not this time.
I wasn’t Naruto.
I was someone else.
And I had come back… to save them.
