Episode 01 – The Boy Who Opened the Book of Legends
---
It was a quiet night.
The wind brushed gently against the windows,
and the starlight seemed to breathe softly in the sky.
In a small alley in Seoul stood an old wooden building—
an abandoned seowon, or Confucian academy, that creaked with time.
People called it haunted,
but a boy named Yoon Taehyun wasn't scared at all.
One evening, Taehyun slowly pushed open the door.
Creeeak…
The scent of old paper and dust filled the air.
In the center of the room, a strange book sat on the floor.
Its cover was dark and worn, and the title read:
> Seol-Yeon-Rok (Record of Feelings and Legends)
Just beneath the title, in small fading letters, was a message:
> "When feelings are forgotten, stories fade away."
As soon as Taehyun opened the book,
the pages began flipping on their own—
without wind, without touch.
And then…
A girl in a white hanbok stepped out from the pages.
Her long hair flowed loosely,
and her eyes were filled with something sorrowful—something quiet.
Taehyun froze for a moment.
But the girl didn't feel scary.
Her voice was as soft as the wind itself.
> "I… forgot how to smile."
Taehyun blinked, then smiled gently.
> "Then… let me help you remember."
The girl stared at him with wide eyes.
It had been so long since someone had talked to her…
as if she truly mattered.
Her name was Arahwa—
a forgotten spirit from an old Korean legend,
lost long ago when people stopped feeling.
—
That night,
Taehyun brought her outside into the quiet courtyard.
There, he tied a long string of rubber bands between two old wooden posts.
> "This is a game my mom used to play when she was little."
Arahwa tried.
She stumbled, missed, fell.
But Taehyun just laughed and cheered her on.
The higher the rubber bands were tied,
the lighter her heart became.
And when she finally jumped and landed—
> "Heehee…"
She smiled.
For the first time in forever,
she laughed.
—
Inside the book, a single word began to glow:
> [Emotion Restored: Sorrow → Smile]
Arahwa looked up at the stars.
> "Thank you.
I'm still sad…
but now, I don't think that's such a bad thing."
Taehyun nodded, gently.
> "Yeah.
It's okay to feel sad.
If we're together, even sorrow can become a story worth telling."
—
🌙 And that night,
as Taehyun closed his eyes, he thought:
> "Feelings never truly disappear.
As long as someone remembers—
the stories will breathe again."
---
💤 Goodnight.
Tonight's feeling is "Sorrow… and Smile."
Sadness isn't a bad thing.
Sometimes, it just means you cared.
And when someone stays beside you—
that sadness becomes something warm.
Close your eyes now.
Let's meet again in the Forest of Feelings.
Goodnight. 🌙
