In a corner of the Shadow World, a sudden concentration of shadow power is seen. The power gathers, then disperses-and from it, a new Shadow Entity is born.
Unknown Shadow Entity:
"Who am I? What is this place?
Why can't I remember anything?"
The Shadow Entity stands up and sets off to discover its identity. All around, it sees only ruins and destruction. It wonders why the planet is in such a state. While walking, it sees someone standing at a distance. It approaches him. The other Shadow Entity also notices him.
Brick (the creature the Unknown Shadow Entity had seen):
"So you finally arrived. I've been waiting for you for quite a while."
Unknown Shadow Entity:
"Who are you? And why were you waiting for me?"
Brick:
"I'm a Shadow Warrior-Brick.
And you, you're a Shadow Warrior too-Shin.
We are both forms of Shadow Entities.
I've been waiting under Lynx's orders to test your worth."
(Annoyed)
Brick:
"Enough talk. Let the fight begin!"
Brick attacks Shin in a friendly manner. But Shin defends. Then begins a fight between Brick and Shin. Although Brick fights in a friendly way, Shin fights seriously.
In the end, Shin emerges victorious.
Shin:
"Now where do I go?"
Brick:
"Head east. There, Needle awaits you."
Shin begins moving east. He sees a warrior sitting at a distance. That warrior notices Shin. Shin realizes-it is Needle.
Needle:
"The child has finally arrived."
Shin:
"I don't want to talk. Let's begin the fight."
Needle:
"Don't be so impatient. Since you insist-let's fight."
A battle begins between Shin and Needle. Shin keeps attacking wildly, while Needle keeps defending. Suddenly, Needle lands a blow-Shin barely fails to defend and gets injured. Needle steps away after the attack. Shin wonders why he didn't follow up.
Shin:
"Fight like a true warrior!"
Needle (laughs):
"To you, this may be a fight.
To me-this is just a game."
After some more combat, Needle is defeated.
Shin:
"Tell me where Lynx is. I must defeat him."
Needle laughs loudly and points eastward.
Shin sets off in that direction. He starts wondering why everyone is fighting him in a friendly way. While walking, he sees two other Shadow Entities. He hides and listens to their conversation.
Dandy:
"Another nuisance has been born.
I don't even enjoy fighting these things anymore."
Ghost:
"Even if we don't enjoy it, we still have to fight.
Besides, this new warrior is bound to be weak.
He is the last Shadow Warrior, after all."
Dandy:
"Right!"
Ghost:
"Wait... someone's here. Hide!"
They quickly hide in the bushes.
Shin walks forward.
Shin:
"If you want to fight, do it like a true warrior!"
From behind, Dandy strikes Shin on the head.
Dandy:
"Is that so?"
Ghost:
"Fight in a friendly way."
Dandy:
"Don't try to teach me."
Shin slowly starts healing himself. He realizes that this time he will have to give it his all. He activates his Prime Mode.
But even then, he couldn't defeat them. They capture him and take him to Lynx.
At that time, Lynx was training-his weapon's strikes could blow away trees and stones.
Dandy speaks nervously:
Dandy:
"Sir..."
Lynx:
"What is it?"
Dandy:
"We've brought Shin.
He's extremely agile."
Lynx:
"Good.
Explain all the rules of the team to him."
Ghost:
"Okay, Sir!"
