- Lord Shiron!
Beautiful main character Catherine.
- Lady Catherine.
Wonderful main character Shirion.
- Oh, I'm so glad to see you! But... What are you doing here?
- Of course I came for you, milady.
The love of the main characters of the novel "The Flower of Empire" drives all readers crazy. Everyone but me. I hate them.
- L-lady, lord..
- Ah, there she is again..
I'm only reading this novel for the sake of my beloved Ilissa. Why do people always like the main characters so much? I get that they're the main characters, but they're also stupid! Or maybe it's just me who thinks that. Whatever, I'm not a critic, am I? No one cares about my opinion anyway.
- No, I can't do this anymore!
Slap-
I put down my phone and buried my face in the pillow.
At first, I liked this work, but now... It makes me cringe every time. You've been there, haven't you? You start liking something, but then it turns into something you hate. The author is so blatantly draining the story that I want to come and cut his spine out... Wait a minute! What are you thinking? I'm not a prisoner.
Here's the thing.
The essence of the novel "Flower of the Empire" is that the cliched main character Ekaterina meets the rich hero Shirion with her quirks, and chemistry flares up between them. Love, roses, I'll move mountains for you and blah, blah, blah..
Where would romantic novels be without villains?
The main villain, who happens to be my favorite character, is Ilissa.
It's a typical plot with twists and turns found in every second novel, but the villain isn't a villain at all!
My girl's family was setting her up. Yes, it's understandable why the main characters don't like her. But she tried to explain herself and ask for their help. They just didn't want to listen to her. In the end, Shiron brutally ended her life. It breaks my heart! Why did they do that to her? It's a terrible drama, and for what? Almost no one among the readers sympathizes with this character. Maybe it's also because she's not well-developed or explored enough in the story.
Cruel author! It's unclear why he added the details that the villainess is actually an ordinary girl, overwhelmed by her crazy family. And that the heroes, miraculously, didn't come to her rescue. This is what annoys me.
If I were Ilissa, I wouldn't let them treat me like this. But of course, I'm not.
In general..
A little bit about me. My name is Cha Si, and I'm twenty-two. I'm passionate about reading novels and drawing. It's a classic combination of hobbies, isn't it? I love drawing characters from beloved works! Yes, "The Flower of the Empire" is a popular novel, and when I saw an advertisement from my favorite blogger, I couldn't resist reading it. I almost burned my ramen.
I'm content with my life, but of course, I'd like to have a lot of money! And who wouldn't? Admit it, you often dream of winning the lottery. And even earlier, you believed that if you spin five times and clap your hands, you might find a brand-new phone under your pillow. Don't make excuses.
Tick - tick-
The clock was ticking, but I couldn't touch the phone.
Im need to tune in.
A cup of hot tea will help to do that! When I was a child... Before I gave blood, my mother would give me green tea, and I wasn't afraid. Well, I was less afraid.
I went to make some delicious tea, leaving my sketchbook and pencil on the table. Double relaxation! It's great to draw on paper, giving your imagination free rein. With one hand, you immerse yourself in the world of painted girls, while the other hand allows you to find zen.
Two minutes later, the tea was on my desk, and I was sitting in my chair. My legs were crossed, and my hair was to the side.
So, let's get started!
I flexed my fingers to draw Ilissa on paper. I'm good at drawing, so it looks like the original, I think. At least I had excellent grades in art class, unlike my classmates.
Shirk-
An eyelash, a hair, a detail on a dress, and a downward glance. She kept looking down, trying to hold back the tears that were welling up. Almost there! It's time to "refuel".
Squish-
After all, what could be better than such evenings? That's right! Nothing.
Nothing was amiss, but the drawing lit up with a white light, so bright! What the hell?! Am I hallucinating?! I don't use drugs or take pills, so what's going on?
I started to get sucked into my sketch.
A red stream gushed from my nose. The lines on the paper began to distort, and my limbs went numb. The light consumed me.
"No, my tea!"...
***
M-hm..
Cold. And damp.
What happened?
My whole body ached, and my head wasn't working properly. It was like I'd been hit on the back of the head.
So... My drawing caught fire somehow, and I left my tea. I got sucked in, and...
I opened my eyes and found myself in a damp and stinking dungeon.
- What the hell?
Turning my head to the side, I saw a grate. Why am I being imprisoned, and how? I don't seem to be breaking any laws... I'm trying my best. What is going on, anyway?!
As soon as I sat down, I started looking around.
Ugh, a rat.. Wet and cold brick walls.. This.. Is there blood? Who was stabbed?! I'm not going to sit with a dead person! I'm not going to sit at all! Let me go! I'm going to scream!
I jumped up and ran to the rusty grate, ignoring the pain in my body.
- Hey!
Groh-
The grates rumbled.
Groh-
—Hey! Someone! Is there anyone there?
My throat was dry, and it was difficult for me to speak.
As I was shaking the grate waiting for an answer, I noticed hair out of the corner of my eye. Not my hair! Not my damn hair! It was long and blue, while my hair was black, like tar! Who had drugged me?
Fuck, what should I do?
There was a scar along his wrist, looking old. Wait a minute...
The lines of the novel flashed through my mind.
"There was a scar on Ilissa's left wrist, left by her brother, ..."
- Wait a second!..
