Chapter 2
They stood and watch as the coffin sank to the deepest part of the ocean before they steer the boat and left the place.
To them, no one in his stupid mind would dare disturb the Lord in his slumber, even a king level beast will think twice before swimming close to that place.

Snapping out of his thoughts, Mordecai looked at the desolate city which was caused by him killing everyone and sighed before muttering, "Alas, I should have left one alive to question."
Not wasting time, he close his eyes and spread his sense around before flying towards another direction.
Finally reaching another city, he made his bat wings disappeared as he stepped into it, walking around, he finally stopped in a stall and stopped a woman working inside, "Where can thee gain knowledge regarding the world?"
He asked using his telepathy skill which allows him to bypass language barriers.
"Go 20 KM south and you will see a library big enough with a wall clock at the top..."
Snap!
After hearing what he wanted, Mordecai broke her neck, silently killing her in order to erase his trace before swiftly turning her into dust which was blown away by the wind.
Following that he used his flight stealthily as he headed towards the place and within seconds he arrives.
Landing at the front of the library, Mordecai enters and saw no one inside except for an old man sitting with a bored look.
"Impact me with thy basic language and how to read and write, mortal." He order with his telepathy skill again.
With a robotic nod, the old man immediately followed the order after being hypnotized.
With his sharp memories it wasn't hard for him to learn but due to how old the man was it truly was a pain in the ass as his brain wasn't that sharp.
_This will take longer._

4 Days Later
Within four days Mordecai finally learned how to read and write in humans language and even solve some less complex mathematical formulas.
Thanks to this, he didn't need the old man's help again as he start reading books containing the history of the world which left him shocked.
It has been over a hundred or thousand years since he went into hibernation according to the information he is seeing and now the world has experienced a drastic change, Vampires, Werewolves and other races no longer exist on Earth due to an event which took place 1000 of years back according to the book. A alien/god/human descended on Earth and freed humanity from the bondage of the top races and even exterminate them, the remaining ones survived and ran away into a different world.
[AUTHOR'S NOTE: It's still being debated by the common folks whether Hyperioness is a human, god or alien.]
Although in another book it was branded as just a myth and no such event ever happened just like how humanity still argue whether dinosaurs existed in the old ages, but Mordecai felt like there was more to it.
Besides he was a vampire, so technically that means vampire existed back then and this made him subconsciously feel like the so called alien taking down the old era was somewhat unimaginable but more believable than the mythical creatures being just myth.
Still, this made him confused, he knew of strong beings in most of the races which even he couldn't beat back then and couldn't help but wonder how a single being could almost wipe them off. Even he who was the strongest Vampire will struggle against few of those beings.
"I have to find time and investigate." He mutters inwardly as he continues. Slowly he had adapted to the language of the modern days.
After thousand of years of development, humans finally got powerful superpowers all thanks to that being unlocking a so called human potential in them, ushering the age of superheroes and supervillains.
Reaching this part, Mordecai was slightly shocked, this means humans now possess powers capable of destroying mountains and no wonder he was called a villain. Back during his era, humanity were born ordinary with no special bloodlines which made them the bottom of the food chain among intelligence species. But now, they're the top?
This pique his interest the more.
Continuing reading, Mordecai discovered something.
It seems like they could not use their powers freely as Earth Heroes Agencies do not follow the rules of the jungle rather it is a democratic regime. With only those with special permit from the hero agencies allowed to use their superpowers after understanding their rules and regulations or else they will be branded as villains, chase after by heroes who want to prove themselves worthy and strong and captured, imprisoned and ingrained with heroism speech.
Seeing this made Mordecai scoffed, how can one grow stronger in such embodiments?
Clearly they were rising weaklings who haven't experience the baptism of true blood and war!
With his intelligence, Mordecai was able to quickly flip through books upon books and read them all quickly and within hours he already read all the history books available in the library. Not stopping there he even picked some novels to spend time on and the ones that caught his interest were Reverend Insanity, Villain Retirement, Inhuman Warlock, Descent Of The Demon God, The Great Demon System, The Dark King, Noblesse and a lot more.
This made him nod in appreciation, at least humanity were good with using their imagination to create something entertaining.
Due to how immersed he was in those books, he didn't even know when six more days has already passed, meaning he spend a week and three days inside the library.
You might wonder why no one has found his stay there suspicious. The reason is simple, these days no one visits the library again as everyone has a holographic watch which also serves as a phone and with it they can access anything they want without the need to visit it.
Mordecai, after slowly absorbing all the knowledge he needed, sat in the library, his mind racing as he processed the information he had absorbed. Not sure of how many years he have been asleep but clearly it was more than a thousand, and now, the rise of humanity, and the mysterious extermination of his kind and other Mythical beasts like Dragons, Lycans, Elves, Titans and so on. It was almost laughable. The idea that mere humans could have risen so far, destroyed his race, and taken dominion over the Earth was absurd.
He leaned back in the chair, fingers drumming on the wooden table as his crimson eyes scanned the room. The old man was still in a trance, oblivious to the fact that he had helped a being of unimaginable power. Mordecai's thoughts, however, were elsewhere.
"A hero," Mordecai mused, recalling the legend he'd read about. "A mortal who slew vampires, dragons, demons and more, then claimed the Earth for humanity. Interesting..."
His lips curled into a grin. Whoever this so-called hero was, they would have no bearing on him now. He had returned. Mordecai Sanguinarious, the strongest Vampire Lord in existence, had awakened, and the world would soon tremble at his feet once again.
But first, he needed to understand this new age fully. The humans had developed powers—superheroes, supervillains and neutral superhumans. No longer were they simple prey, cowering in fear in the shadows. This intrigued him. He needed to know more.
"Interesting." Mordecai mutter with a faint smile as he saw the news of a stuff called VRMMG, a virtual reality game which transport the user's consciousness into a fantasy virtual world made for fighting vampires, dragons and other mythical beasts.
With this game most humans use it to learn and better their techniques which intrigued Mordecai as he has never come across something like this in his past life. One which bear little similarities to it was the illusionary art which allows one fight illusionary figures.
From rumours, it seems like no one knew who invented such game as the blueprints suddenly appeared in different bigshot's hands one certain time, ushering in the age of VRMMG.
_I need an identity and background to blend in and places to learn or get information easily._ Mordecai thought.
Mordecai who was planning on living a normal life for a while after discovering the history of the world quickly mutter as he stepped out of the library, not without wiping the memories of the old man who taught him, he felt like killing was a bit extreme after discovering the age he was in and knew he might be chased after the heroes make their discovering.
Although killing them is easy but it's boring.

Meanwhile, back to the city Mordecai first went after waking up from his slumber, a helicopter touched down on the deserted city, following that, six figures emerged, dressed in sleek combat suits that shimmered in the dim evening light. Each suit bore the symbol of their respective superhero names on the chest, a testament to their heroic identities. Their capes fluttered behind them, billowing out like flames in the wind.
"What the fucking hell happened here, again?" One of them couldn't help but asked with a tired voice.
The others didn't reply as their footsteps echoing against the empty buildings, walking around and taking in the sight of the city. Their expressions were hidden behind masks, but their bodies radiated an aura of strength and power. As they scanned their surroundings, taking in the devastation wrought by the unknown force that had left the city desolate, the one leading them finally spoke.
"It seems like another S-Rank or SS-Rank super human has risen."
"W... Silver Queen, are you sure?" A dark skin man with huge muscular body wearing a sleeveless battlesuit asked with doubt.
"Yes, I am. The ocean was the first place which got destroyed according to the report we got from Rex Arthurian. You all know this is the first time we ever got to the deepest part of the ocean? I suspect we have woken another evil force from slumber." Her voice turn grim at the end.
