"You're right. Even if you are a Necromancer, you still need some preparations." Theresa nodded, speaking her mind freely," Since you already have a class, it is not as urgent for you to rush for a class…"
Quickly, she concluded by presenting him with a suggestion.
"I think it is better if I rush to level ten and obtain a class as soon as possible!"
Hearing this, Damien praised her for her quick thinking. This strategy is actually the most efficient one. If Damien didn't have the [Corrupted Divine Saint] class, he would have done the same.
But since he started out with a class already, he wanted to shift his focus on other things in the catacombs.
"I remember that [Great Scythe] is somewhere in this catacombs… Its attributes and passive is extremely helpful for my fighting style."
Would it be worth it to waste his precious time at the start to help this random stranger level up? Damien decided that it was worth the gamble!
if he was level 10 right now, he wouldn't do this. Since the higher level you are, the less exp you gained from lower monster killed. But guess what? He is only level 2 at the moment!
"Do you have a weapon?" He suddenly asked, startling Theresa.
She stared at her empty hand, then at the skeleton hand which was holding a small pebble, finding it a little silly.
However, given no choice, she crouched down nearby and picked up a pebble that Damien is too familiar to.
[Small pebble: Useless piece of rock. What more do you need to know?]
Rating: Common★
Strength Required: 1
Attack Power: 3
Seeing this, Damien lips curled into a smile. He find this refined young woman holding the pebble in her hand quite intriguing and interesting.
At the same time, she darted her eyes at him, causing his face to froze.
"No comment," He said wryly, then commanded [Bone 1] to walk up front, taking the lead. Seeing this, Theresa lowered her piercing gaze slightly.
They walked down the catacombs passage at a steady pace, carefully feeling the ground for movement as well as leaning their ears in to the wall for any sound. The only source of light they have thus far is the small gemstone embedded passage walls.
Some area was too dimly lit, bearing no light, causing them to change direction. Due to this lack of light, it made traversing the catacombs quite difficult and time consuming.
"Stop," He whispered in a low voice, causing her to pause.
"What is it?" She asked in confusion. However, the expression his face cause her to quiet down immediately.
At the same time, Damien raised his finger, pointing at the other side of the wall. [Bone 1] also stopped moving and looked at Damien, waiting for his command.
"Protect me," He whispered to Theresa. His purple eyes lit up like a flickering candle in the wind. Seeing this sight, she immediately grasp the meaning of his words.
"Okay, I will let you know when you are in danger," She said to him.
Although he requested for her protection, Damien is still vigilant as he took over control of [Bone 1].
[Ding! You have taken control of your summons.]
[-2 Mana per second.]
Through [Bone 1] perspective, he could see a group of three skeleton resting against the passage wall. One of them even had a broken sword in its hand. Seeing this, the blue flame in [Bone 1] eye socket flickered slightly.
"Skeleton Warrior!"
In [Nebula Online], player have classes, so does monster. For example, skeleton is the base, while warrior, archer, and mage are also paths for skeleton.
Monster with a class is naturally more powerful than one without classes. Just as a player with a class is much stronger than one without a class. This is not just about stat difference, but skill!
'Controlling a summon drain my mana over time… If I take too long, I will experience [Mana Exhaustion] and be in a state of weakness!'
Since that is the case, Damien quickly control [Bone 1] to approached one of the other skeleton first.
His plan is simple, taking out one target swiftly, then let [Bone 1] aggro the second one with Theresa, while he stall for time fighting the warrior!
It was not that he wanted to aggro the warrior himself, it's just that he doesn't trust Theresa to handle the warrior. If Theresa die, then he would be left fighting alone!
A this moment, Damien split his attention to explain Theresa the plan. It is best to have her on the same page rather than hoping that she could read his mind.
"Okay," She nodded, at the same time, she can't help but had one concern," Are you sure you can stall the skeleton warrior yourself?"
Even if Damien was lvl 10, he is just a Necromancer. Their physical stat are known to low, and engaging in close combat with a warrior, even though it is a skeleton warrior, is quite dangerous.
But, he was confident as he answered Theresa.
"Trust me," He said, returning his attention to controlling [Bone 1].
With careful movement, [Bone 1] steadily approached one of the skeleton leaning against the wall. Seeing [Bone 1] appearance, the skeleton was confused.
"Kuk Kuk?"
However, to its surprised, the skeleton in front of it began raising its skeletal hand, bashing its hand with a small pebble.
[Ding! Your summon has attacked.]
[Ding! Critical hit, dealing x2 damage.]
[-16 damage.]
[-7 damage.]
[Ding! Your attack [Stunned] skeleton x1 for five second.]
Immediately, the other two skeleton awakened. Seeing its fellow brethen attacked, they quickly retaliated.
[Ding! Your summon has been attacked!]
[-6 hp.]
[-13 hp.]
The damage flashes in Damien eyes, but he didn't care and continue bashing the same way he bashed [Bone 1] before.
At the same time, Damien instructed Theresa to aggro the other skeleton, while he returned to his body and began running toward the Skeleton Warrior.
"Hurry!" He called out.
Even now, [Bone 1] continued bashing, its two arm holding the pebble tight and swung without any emotions.
[-5 damage.]
[-9 damage.]
Damien, with his agility at 20, rushed forward with great speed. It was unlike before where he struggled to pull off this move.
"Kuk Kuk Ku?!"
The Skeleton Warrior turned its head to face Damien, but it was caught offguard by his sudden outburst of speed and reacted too late.
Bang!
[Ding! You have attacked Skeleton Warrior x1.]
[Ding! Critical hit, dealing x2 damage.]
[-21 damage.]
[Ding! Skeleton Warrior x1 is [Stunned] for two second!]
This time, he noticed the duration of the stun was much shorter. However, Damien already took this into consideration when he attacked.
'Another one!' He exclaimed inwardly, swinging the pebble toward the Skeleton Warrior wrist bone.
Bang!
The crisp sound of a sturdy pebble striking against the brittle bone of the wrist echoed across the hollow passage.
[Ding! Critical Hit, x2 damage.]
[Ding! You have hit the weak point of Skeleton Warrior x1.]
[Ding! Skeleton Warrior [Disarmed] for four seconds!]
